Too new, too many produced and unless you have a manual you wont see a huge rise over the next 5 years.

550 seem to be rising slowly, £200k maybe a little optimistic but I certainly think we'll see good examples asking over £100k,

550 were all manual by the way.

I think I saw once at hr owen service one that had been converted to an auto with a convertible
roof from an sl.. Looked a proper dogs dinner.
I think at the time I was told it was done for the sultan of Brunei.

Love these and do think they'd be a good buy. Personally I think £200k is a way off, but they will get there IMO.

Didn't take long! Two 575s for sale at £100K+: one manual at £130K, one F1 HGTC at £115K.

I liked the idea of a 550 at some point, but if they keep going up and the 599 keeps coming down, I think I'd be tempted by the newer car. Keep it long enough and after it continues to depreciate for a while, it will then probably start to bounce back in a similar way to how the 550 has. The 550 is the one to go for if you want one of the last proper old school manual V12s though.

This, but only if I could find a manual 599. My only experience of F1 was in a 575 though, perhaps a 599F1 would change that...

599 manuals won't be going down! I think they made something ludicrous like three RHD manual cars. DK had one last year IIRC.....went for something like a £50k premium to an F1 box car.

Ferrari design the 599 to be used with an F1 box. Years down the road people pay a huge premium for something the engineers originally considered sub optimal. I buy silly cars. I get we do silly things. But that's hilarious.

Here's the ad http://www.dkeng.co.uk/ferrari-sales/317/Prestige_...

He's talking nonsense about the tyres (in my humble opinion and experience!) about the tyres. My P Zeros have done 13000 miles. The rear ones are due to be changed, but the fronts are still only half worn. Perhaps I'm not trying hard enough smile

Not red, NOT RED???!!! Crap article...

Not sure if I read £200k into it either.

And another thing... Quentin Wilson, the car dealers dealer says, and I quote: "Over the past year I've seen prancing horse dealers inflate showroom prices of 550's by as much as £20k". Surely the market establishes the prices? I've mentioned before that CAP is showing a 21.5% increase over the last 14 months, so don't dealers just reflect this? Chicken and egg situation I guess.

Drilled pedals did it for me silly

The £200k is just a reference to a famous Challenge Stradale thread from last year...

Ok, I see. Dino's are there now though, and it doesn't seem that long ago £60k would have got you a nice one. I'm not knocking the principle, it's just that the article made me laugh out loud!

The article mentioned the 550 'bargain' sold recently at auction, but ommitted to say it was lhd. Bhp is 475 rather than the 425 stated too I think. Cant see 550s rocketing but it certainly seems that prices are moving.

Supply and demand I guess as there only seem to be a few for sale right now.
