The 612 is big by Ferrari standards, but mine is exactly the same size - length and width as my current 5 Series BMW (an Alpina D5) which nobody comments on!

Wouldn't have thought that. I think my initial surprise was how far you're sitting from the nearside front end; with a meter of car in front of the engine for the angled rad and to keep the engine within the wheelbase.
My first long run four-up tomorrow with my two teenagers in the back...
