That seems odd as changing all 4 at once is not a requirement and you can buy them individually if required via a Dealer or Eurospares. AFAIK the reset is just the counter in the instrument module which can be done with an SD3 without a code.
I have spoken to various specialists, main dealers and this is what have been told. The car has to have a set of four ordered and then the car has to be calibrated over a 24 hour period with the code being put in. A chap has a 599 near me that I looked at and replaced the Ceramics with some new unboxed ones and as he didn't have the code it can't be reset, so still needs a new set! I did so much research into this because his car can be bought a great value but needs another set of Ceramics to reset it.... I know he has tried everywhere in the country pretty much to see if anyone can sort it with no joy.
