I agree with everything said above, I use mine daily and its epic.

Only thing I'd add is that I've just put some Pirelli Sotto Zero winter tyres on and it's made a great car even better.
Might have to do that too. My p zeros are getting worn and the snow arrived this morning!

Have to say they weren't easy to find in the right sizes, I ended up with an official dealer getting me a set.

Latest on the FF M is that it's a 20-30!hike in base price to near enough 280k before options. Horsepower up to 680 (30bhp) and still a v12 and some cosmetic tweaks to bumpers. Potentially rear roofline sloping off a little quicker too.

Overall not much to encourage me to upgrade and makes a 2012 at 160k look like a great deal. If the info above is true then I'd expect prices to remain firm on early cars for a while to come...

And what the hell could justify such a jump in pricing? :O

Info is second hand from F-Chat. Have to wait and see it it's true first.
However it would follow previous form - 'M' versions always cost more than their predecessors - and a 10-15% increase wouldn't be out of line from that perspective. As for justifying it - I guess folks will pay it. No more justification required...

The only upgrade worth considering outside of stock is a Capristo exhaust to really unleash the sound.
Does the Capristo make that much difference?
I love the car and the tone of the exhaust when the valves open, but it does feel far too quiet for most of the time.
Only concern is if change the exhaust, will it ruin the sound.

Any FF owners in the Midlands, with a Capristo / other ??

I've heard the Capristo back to back at Scuderia Systems in Egham with my own stock car. It's a big difference in sound quality. Not significantly louder than stock at idle (though the start up is a little more theatrical) - but at higher rev ranges you get a far more F1 v12 sound. It's much much better.

I'm planning on it, and I use my car as a family car most of the time. IT won't be intrusive on long journeys, but it will make tunnels way more exciting.\

I had a tubi on my 3200GT many years ago, and I regretted only getting it in my final year of ownership as it made things far more fun. Not making the same mistake on the FF - there is an awesome sound in there waiting to get out. The stock sound is ok - especially when compared to other cars I was looking at, but the Capristo (or Novitech) both unleash the full v12 to its full potential...

Another option is to keep the stock exhaust and get the dealer to disconnect the valves (so it's "loud" all the time). I've had it done to several cars. Makes a nice difference if the car is just that little bit too quiet.

If you want to do that 2 minutes with some garden wire and you can pin the valves open

I just spent a rather enjoyable four days with this:

The neighborhood kids, who had all been very excited about the prospect of getting a ride in a Ferrari, were a bit underwhelmed by the colour. They didn't even ask for a photo, although they did want more than one go in it.

Wish it sounded quite as good inside the car as it does from the outside, and having to fill up twice in 230 miles (6.5 US mpg, 7.8 UK mpg) is a bit shocking. CarPlay is nice, I can't believe it's $1 more expensive than the passenger display though. The panoramic roof is also a great touch.

Unusually for a press car it had lost the owner's manual, so I still have no idea what the button between the infotainment system and the steering wheel (lower down on the dash) does. Opposite side of the center console to the one that opens the glove box - the icon looks a bit like a camera. Any owners have an idea? Does it activate the rear view camera when you're stationary maybe?

I'm guessing the car has front and rear cameras.

The button switches on front view and switches between front side view and front straight down view, hand for pulling up to kerbs.

Cant really tell what colour it is. But I'm not suprised by the kids reaction, as its not a pinup Ferrari really. Bit more of a thinking mans supercar.

So, I bought a 2012 FF a couple of weeks ago. This is one fascinating car! I love what makes things work and as far as the FF goes, the engineering is a 'feast'. The car is not perfect and has some weak areas but taken as a whole, where many people claim they have brought 'something new' to the automotive world, Ferrari really did with this car.

The 4RM system is genuinely innovative and although there are better four wheel drive systems out there, none of them have to cope with the fact that the car they are attached to has to be a V12 Ferrari first and foremost.

I found the car to tram line quite badly with P Zeros on. In 4-10 degrees that is not particularly welcome but no doubt in 15-20 degrees or above it is no real issue. Changed tyres for winter (my Ferrari dealer did not supply sotozeros and received some Michelin Alpin directly from the factory which I thought was interesting). Tramlining totally disappeared and despite the fact that winter tyres have significantly more mobile treadblocks, the design of these tyres is also interesting and there is very little 'squirm' under power - remarkable since they have to cope with 660hp. Crucially the car is still fun to drive with the winter tyres although that nice weight transfer that happens during cornering with the summer tyres does happen a lot quicker with the winters so you have to be a little careful at speed.

My car has more mileage on it than I would have liked, but it has worn the mileage brilliantly and was like new when I got it. The interior is beautiful and a wonderful place to be, the car handles really well and hides its weight, though not completely, and that V12 is just beautiful beautiful beautiful! Fully four seats with a body that really is beautiful too, though in a subtle way. When you live with the car you learn to appreciate what the designers did and again it is really interesting and engaging.

I plan to buy the new FFM, hence giving a used FF a try. So far so very good. I feel able to use this car for long motorway journeys (which I tend to avoid in my mid engined cars because the point is to drive twisty fast roads) but it can certainly keep me entertained when the occasion calls. It really is a luxury/GT/practical/sporting/foul weather car all rolled into one and it is the first time I have owned a car that blends those abilities so well. It will not be the last I hope!

What I have heard about the new car is similar to others - more rake at the rear, four rear lights, new generation interior that is a standout feature on the car, V12 and V8 format and obviously more power and possibly rws.

Just got out of my FF after driving 900 miles within the last 24 hours, is there a better car out there for this purpose!? I think not!
