As seawise said, I think that'll impact the value of the nearly new FF's, but less so the older ones. There's a huge price differential between old and new FFs at the moment, I'd just expect that to concertina over the next few years, such that they're closer in value. Its a similar story with all past models.
While the depreciation amounts are significant, it's a decent enough performer there - and with 2011 cars at still over half original retail price, with the retail on the GTC set to rise to likely in excess of 300k for a specced out car it's unlikely that we'll see much in the way of additional price pressure on 5 year old cars from the new model - especially as we won't actually see any on the roads here until sometime in 2017...mr_tony said:
Except the standard pano roof is back to being something like a 25k option allegedly... So it's going up more like 30k like for like...
Pan roof was a £10.5 k option last time so I can't see it being £25k this time.I'm only repeating what the guys from FNE were saying, no official line but expecting it to be £3-5k like for like.
Bertie - sure you are right on list price. The FChat discussions saying that pano roof back to being a cost option. I think 25k was quoted but of course that's a usd figure so my bad..
I guess I'm just thinking that Ferrari won't miss a trick to increase the revenue on a'new' model. 1%price increase sounds fair in the current climate but with Ferrari under pressure to raise profitability now it's listed it seems likely they'll maximise their option prices to get the actual average spend on the new car up a bit more than the headline price increase. Guess we'll have to wait and see.....

Hi Chaps. Just taken the plunge and bought a used FF. Please could anyone recommend me a good outdoor car cover for it?
Many thanks
Darty
My recommendation would be don't.Many thanks
Darty
Unless you wash it every time just before you put the cover on the cover will just grind the dirt in and scratch the paintwork as the wind blows it around.
They're not leaky so it's better just left outside and invest the cover money with a good detailer on a long term paint protection, something proper like G Techniq not the normal Autoglym / Swissvax stuff .
Does anyone know if the FF has any facility for roobars?
Genuinely looking to get an FF as a daily family car (live in central London so that probably means family weekend duties!)
The roofrack is only a requirement when going away and as the pram goes in the boot, the suitcases need to go somewhere!
FYI an S Class limo taxi won't fit everything plus pram, Fedexing luggage is a pain and a second car isn't an option.
If no roof rack available then I guess we'll have to carry on as we are.

I have just made an enquiry about a used FF. I'm intending to use it as an everyday car that I can get our kids I the back of. Am I mad?
I've lusted after one of these for such a long time and feel u really need to do the deed. Would keep it for 6-12 months; how badly will it ruin me :0)

That depends at least in part as to whether you have more than 2 kids...Mine has already coped admirably today with both the trip to the school sports match and to the subsequent dance classes in town. I don't think it did it any faster than the diesel VW Touran would have done, but the engine noise was slightly more rewarding, and it makes for a better view from the coffee shop whilst I wait for the classes to finish. Not had a problem with speed bumps, even without using the lift, but I do tend to avoid roads with width restrictions, and to plot my journeys via Shell fuel stations

In terms of the maths, as you may be aware, it's about £5k/year to keep up the full warranty after the initial period (but no servicing costs assuming you have the 7 year plan) in addition to whatever you think might happen on the depreciation frontGratuitous pic:
