Nice car!

Like has been said I too was that naming I wanted cream or tan but when I saw mine I just loved it.
Over a year on and I still do, every day.

Those seats look good! is it just the seats that are red or other parts as well?
On mine just the seats front and rear, quilted, rest black stitched red.

have to admit I have been following this thread and FF pricing of late, as something about them really appeals to me. never owned a Ferrari before, very much a hard core 911 owner (various GT3's, air cooled RS's litter my past and present), but the FF would make an awesome road car in which I could ferry the kids about in as well. and I could use it all year round.

been offered a generous deal on a low miles 2014 car from a friend, but the one thing he warned me of is the sheer size of the car. it's both very wide and long, which can be an issue especially in London. does anyone else have a problem with it's exterior dimensions, or am I worrying unduly ?
I use mine daily and I'd happily use it times when I'd avoid using the wife's Range Rover due to its size.

Fabulously comfy, used mine in all weathers, including snow.,

I love my FF, it's back from service tomorrow and I'll be very pleased to have it back.

But this new GTC4 Lusso is something else!

Except the standard pano roof is back to being something like a 25k option allegedly... So it's going up more like 30k like for like...
Pan roof was a £10.5 k option last time so I can't see it being £25k this time.

I'm only repeating what the guys from FNE were saying, no official line but expecting it to be £3-5k like for like.

Hi Chaps. Just taken the plunge and bought a used FF. Please could anyone recommend me a good outdoor car cover for it?

Many thanks

Darty
My recommendation would be don't.

Unless you wash it every time just before you put the cover on the cover will just grind the dirt in and scratch the paintwork as the wind blows it around.

They're not leaky so it's better just left outside and invest the cover money with a good detailer on a long term paint protection, something proper like G Techniq not the normal Autoglym / Swissvax stuff .

One for a call to your local Ferrari dealer I think.

I have just made an enquiry about a used FF. I'm intending to use it as an everyday car that I can get our kids I the back of. Am I mad?

I've lusted after one of these for such a long time and feel u really need to do the deed. Would keep it for 6-12 months; how badly will it ruin me :0)
What year / mileage / price you talking?

What kind of person who has an FF shops at Ikea?!
are the two mutually exclusive?
No just fking mental in my opinion until Shmee confirmed my thoughts - it was a joke.

If one has quarter of a million to spend on an FF, im certain they would spend more than a tank of petrol for said car on my wardrobe or kitchen table. Id imagine anyone with their life sorted enough to get an FF probably has a nice house and would like to fill it with quality furniture.

Dont try and be obtuse for the sake of it - you and everyone else knows what I meantrolleyes

yeah i knew you meant that all FF owners must me self-indulgent obnoxious wcensoreds.... whens yours arriving wink
Oh fk off. Doing a smily face doesn't make you any less of a see you next Tuesday.
my my, has someones ikea furniture been delivered without screws and nails today
I already told you I don't shop at IKEA with the peasants.

My house is filled with leather bound books and rich mahogany
you're kind of a big deal, people must know you
beer

If it's any consolation, I know what you meant.
I wouldn't expect to see such an expensive car at Ikea either.

Classic PH rofl

What if it's furniture for your garage or your kid's student accommodation. Or even some rental properties that afforded you the FF?
Yes, I can understand that, just saying if I saw one in the car park it'd stand out to me too as fairly unusual.

I got a few odd looks collecting 2 bags of sand from Wickes in my Gallardo, understandable.

Can any FF owners tell me if it's possible to put the car in neutral and release the handbrake without starting the engine? Mine is arriving from Japan in a container shortly and I am weighing up the best way to get it out. If possible I'd like to wheel it out but if it's anything like my other modern cars then it won't be possible to select neutral without the engine running.

Thanks in advance,
Bryn.
In the boot there are two holes and tools, one for manually releasing the park brake, and one to put the gearbox into neutral.

Instructions are in the owners manual.

Had to do this once when gearbox went wrong and car was recovered.

Hi all, just looking at getting myself an ff in the next month or two and just wondering how the long term owners are getting on? Anyone done more than 30-40k miles etc, any issues with higher milages etc?
The prices are holding up very well from what I can tell as I too (a few years ago) thought they would be much closer to £100k by now.
Also looks like Bertie's car is for sale?
Cheers Russell.
Yes, it does appear my ex car is up for sale, someone has clearly enjoyed the last 12 months judging by the milage, bravo!

I miss mine, so just looking at Lusso.

I did 27k miles in mine over 3years - nothing major, the battery didn't like short journeys during the debth of winter so I would place on trickle charge once or twice a year but other than that the car was brilliant. Really great car at current market prices. I traded up to a Lusso which I love but is twice the price!
I'm just looking at Lusso....did you spec Pan roof, Hi-Fi, AFS & passenger display?

I must admit the lusso is very nice. Would love to get one but I've ordered a superfast so I don't want to lose big bucks on a nearly new car when I would have to change it in a few years when the 812 comes. However if things go well then I could potentially keep the ff and 812 as the ff could hold on to its value well.
Nice, I've got an 812 coming too, came back from atelier a few weeks ago, you specced yet?

Not done the specification yet as I won't be getting a car for two years I reckon but I've done the spec on the configurator and I'm thinking it will be just over £300k. I'm not sure how much the special paint is yet so that will make a difference. I'm liking red at the moment but which one? I like the 70 anniversary colour, mugello, f1 2007 and maybe berlinetta so I need to see the colours on some cars hopefully.
As I'll be waiting a few years I would like a car to fill the gap and as I have kids I thought it might be nice for them to be able to enjoy the car as well.
What made you change the ff?
Just FYI the special triple layer paints you mention are just over £15k, the F1 2007 is a 4 layer so just over £20k

I went from FF to California T and now maybe to Lusso..., just moving on really

Oh dear, I knew they were over £10-12k but that must have been an old price!

You were on about having a grey one in a previous post, still the plan? I've had Grigio silverstone on the 612 and I really liked that for a gunmetal type colour. I do like the reds on the big v12 cars though. Canna de fucile looks good as well. I saw a car on auto trader in that colour a few weeks ago.

I'm liking beige tradizione and cuoio (just need to decide which) for the interior. With various accents etc.

Edited by mirage5512 on Thursday 20th July 00:38
Generally I like the big V12 cars in subtle colours, my 575 is TDF, the FF was nero, however the 812 has so much presence I'm not sure it suits them.

When I went to Maranello I was convinced I wanted the 812 in grey with sabia.....but having seen the car in the flesh it's such a beast, and then I saw them on the line in Silverstone and TDF and they just didn't suit the car IMHO
