Currently have a 466 but thinking about changing for 612..... Thoughts?

I like the shape of the 456 but maybe the mod cons of the 612 might be nice?

Cheers

I almost went the other way recently, the 456 shape is that beguiling! The 612 interior looks pretty modern considering its age. The switches are however made of balsa. I'd guess the additional BHP will take your attention off that for a while though.

A dealer did say the build quality isn't great on the 612's......

Sorry guys, that's nonsense.
The build I've seen on 612s, mine included, is pretty good and solid.
You can get issues with fragile and expensive window / mirror switches, but that's true of all modern Ferraris.

The power of the 612 is magnificent and I love the styling.
Gearbox is a personal choice, consensus and market prefers the manuals, however with the F1A there's something rather fun about piloting a large gt while never taking your hands off the wheel...

A huge amount of car for the money.

No, I was just referring to switches-couldn't fault anything else. A very capable car. Boot's a bit small for a 16 foot car perhaps but rear leg room and seats are very good.

Had to talk to the guys at Rardleys about some work on the 456 so went in and looked at the 612 in the showroom.
Was quite interested but it seems so much bigger than the 456 and as I intend to use the car on a regular basis incl commute to work I'm not sure now.
Also, I'm really liking the shape of the 456........

Have had one for 18 months as Daily family car ( 12 year old twins fit easily in the back) in London , all great , nice power and challenging handling . NO costs beside Fuel and rear tyres which tells a story.....
Have a Scud GT3 for fun days out
