I am surprised people were saying 3. To me anything but 4 looks like you ran out of paint! Especially when you are replicating the classic look.

All in all though I think this car is going to look amazing!

Still number 4!
Thanks. You don't think it's already very busy around the rear?
Not at all! Close to perfection!

Thanks everyone, I much appreciate your excellent inputs. Tough call but I'm going with #1, without.

I figure once she arrives - and if so desired - it's far easier and less painful to add the stripe than the reverse.

Have a great weekend and thanks again beer

Many congratulations on a really superb choice, both in terms of spec and obviously the car itself. The F12tdf is for me the No.1 most desirable car of the last 24 months. I can only imagine the level of anticipation and excitement! How long do you have to wait for the car to arrive?

Thanks. A front V12 is closest to my heart. The tdf's V12 output is incredible, it's a work of art, so yes, I am eagerly looking forward to firing her up. RHD production is soon and I'm expecting delivery late summer.

Just spotted this F12 which has a similar stripe

To me that confirms finishing on the boot lid is not the right choice!

For me I think 4 is the most complete!

Nope, a mix of carbon, and blu medio leather/alcantara, Daytona seats. tone on tone stitching. Cavallino in headrest will be Chiaro Scuro, which is considerable lighter than shown. Spent hours pouring over options, happy with result. Obviously RHD.

Ive never specced a ferrari, but can I ask why you have gone for tone on tone stitching? I always love it when I see cars with contrast stitching (although Im told that anything on the upper dash should be tone on tone/dark otherwise it reflects.

Love your spec Camlet, Its nice going from you debating on your colour scheme to where you're at now!!! I just hope you actually drive it a little (considering how mental the market has gone)

Thanks Matt. It's a personal thing, I don't like contrast stitching the same way I don't like yellow calipers, I find both distract the eye when there's more interesting detail on which to focus. I've attached two pics of my 599 GTO's interior which I specced tone on tone. You can see there is carbon, alcantara and leather mix. I think it works. The tdf will have the same mix. Definitely each to their own, Ferrari's revenue forecast counts on this! smile

You're correct about the upper dash, especially on the Speciale, contrast stitching is strongly reflected on bright days, would drive me nuts. Per usage, my UK Speciale Aperta is stored with 150 miles on it, I have the Speciale coupe which I use, just can't get to drive the SA. Mad but it is what it is. But the tdf will be used for sure, reports from those who have had it delivered already say it's awesome. Can't wait.

Finally I went with no stripe on the rear. I can add it later when delivered but the rear is already very busy and I'd rather have the expense of adding than removing!

Would be boring if we were all sheep (bahhhh).
Nice to see that things are well thought through - didn't know what your gto was like inside - whats the exterior colour of your GTO?
I like the alcantara is a little lighter so brings out a bit of detail on the darker interior in the GTO.

Ive not personally experience this plight as I'm only a meagre ford fiesta driver for now - reality of being home and temporarily unemployed is a bit of a shock after a ski season!!!

I was speaking to a few dealers the other day a recently sold mid spec SA in RHD form sold for over £725k privately (e.g. not advertised) so no wonder you're not driving it and can't blame you if you have a Speciale.
Its great to see in the classifieds a bianco speciale coupe in rhd form has nearly 15k miles on it! - Just what I like to see!!!
Im so glad you're going to drive it - hopefully when it arrives ill be able to see it biggrindriving

I completely understand your thought process, it is a busy design but can be altered retrospectively if you wan the extra bit adding.
I like you think black wheels lose the details of the wheels - diamond cut is a great choice.

Hope you're well Mr. C.

You should perhaps source a job at a top end dealer helping sell high performance cars through the summer, I bet you'd be very effective; you know more than some of the so called specialists!

Per the 458 SA, prices for UK supplied examples are stratospheric, they're not far short of a decent F40 for goodness sake. But it's a great car and of course, a UK car is rare. You can't say no when invited by Ferrari and if I didn't already have the coupe I'd be driving the SA; the Speciale is a remarkably quick car but it is its incredible agility that's so addictive. And the sound of that magnificent NA V8 smile

The exterior colour of my GTO is Ferro. Here is one my favourite pictures of her with a beautiful, very special old lady.

That is a great photo, and a great car!

Interesting to hear your thoughts about the Speciale. I really think they are a, for lack of a better word, special car. I haven't driven a huge range of supercars but a driven a few nice vehicles and the Speciale is the only one that makes anything else seem almost pointless. It really does set an incredibly high bar.

Although I'm sure the tdf probably does the same thing!

Thanks. The GTO - and more so the tdf - are seriously big mid-front V12 beasts. They demand attention. To bastardise Mr Andretti's famous quote, if your hands aren't sweaty with those cars you're not driving fast enough. The Speciale however for me is a very different vibe because of its amazing fluidity/agility mixed with deep pockets of power. It plays a different game. Like trying to decide who was greater: Sugar Ray Leonard or Mike Tyson. Impossible, both remarkable.

That's a difficult question. They have very distinctive characters even though the Ferrari DNA remains strong throughout. The 550 Maranello (with FHP) has matured into a beautiful GT, with its click-clack gate, epic handling and a V12 which pulls like a train. It's a very special drive and their uplift is well deserved. The Speciales are as previously stated, very quick, a joy to drive, sophisticated hooligans. The GTO has massive presence, it's a masculine car, it demands respect.....and that sound! The F40 is a riot on full boost, mental, there is nothing like it to drive or to look at. And the F50, actually this is an amazing car, beautifully sweet to drive, epic sound above 7500 rpm; if the F40 is a heavy night out with the lads, the F50 is strictly dinner for two.
