i am considering getting out of my 456 and am wondering what to get instead, then it got me thinking where and what i could part ex it for.....even thought about a more normal car like a FF range rover.... any ideas?

Are we talking Ferrari FF or FF (full fat) Range Rover ?

Ferrari a lovely bit of kit so I am told by various friends.

Big old beast but 612 currently looks relative value to the rest of the Ferrari market.

I guess you will get a px price anywhere but wouldn't think would be the route to go down, give Dave or Matt a call at The Ferrari Centre and let them SOR the car for you, you will then have the funds to deal on the car of your choice.

As I say, most dealers will take in px but you are unlikely to get anywhere near its perceived value.

I assume you have had your fun and now looking for something else, C63 AMG maybe ? Aston Vantage ? DB9 ?

Kind of depends what your trying to or want to do

If SOR is awkward for you then worth trying to sell privately perhaps, it's a very niche car even by Ferrari standards and as others have said I'm not sure you'll get the same value away from Ferrari specialists.

i will phone a few and see what the market says...... if no good then i will take off the market and stick it away for 12 months, and see where we are then....... but i might try the private route as i would be able to put a figure on it that would be significantly under what its being advertised at now

Andy - try Mike @ Rardley's he's the man for 456's.

I was going to part ex mine for a 612 Scag a few years back - interior was a nice place, but the exterior was just too large to be pretty, hence I keep the 456GT and will continue to keep it.
Had mine for 10 years now, and put 28k miles on it.

hi mate, i did have a quick chat with mike at rardleys looked after the car for most of its life so he knew the history was A1, i wont tell you what he offered me for it but lets just say it was 2/3's of what he told me what the retail value! lol so i politely declined..... its currently up for sale at foskers (silver one at £75k) which i think is too much in the current climate would be interested to know where you would put it as someone who knows the marque.

i can see me keeping it if it has net gone by april time.....

Why don't you reduce the price then? Nothing wrong with Foskers.

More than anything this probably tells you what your random pX might be which in turn suggests you might get another ten grand either privately or net SOR

I actually think the 612 ages really well especially in black

A FFRR supercharged is also quite a place to be sitting in...can only recommend. Had one and it worked wonders. Now run a late G55K as daily, another beast of 4x4 on the road.

I guess it all depends how much you need the space.

If it weren't for the kids prams I'd have a late 612...we fit a bugaboo in the G without having to fold it.

You mean Tony hasn't had the price changed on the website? Did you sell the wheels?

Thanks. It's a handy reminder to me of what I've owned! Slowed down recently...might buy a few more bikes - take up less space!

yep the ad needs changing as we have done a load of work on it, service, belts and a couple of other very minor things but its now perfect, we sold the wheels and put the originals on with brand new tyres, so the pics need changing and the price is wrong...... lol so pretty much everything needs doing but for what ever reason it hasn't happened...... a bit disappointing really

i am not desperate to sell the car as i actually haven't driven it that much, but now i have moved out of london i might get the the chance, but i bought a 335 spider last year so i was hoping that i might get to drive that, and i dont really need two fun cars so to speak hence changing it to a daily driver like a FFRR

i am going to call tony tomos and sort the ad.....
