Very nice. Except the rear. The styling above the number plate along with the lights looks like someone pulling a sad face. First thing I thought when I saw it.

Lord have mercy, that looks spectacular!! So now I know what to do...

Step 1: Live on beans on toast for a year.
Step 2: Raid piggy bank
Step 3: Phone dealer and beg
Step 4: Trade-in my 599
Step 5: Drive my new 812 Superfast.....fast!

Easy-peasy. Thank you. Good night.
Or just "settle" with an F12 Berlinetta, which looks far more elegant and 740hp is more than enough on two driven rear wheels....
I was interested in potentially making the 812 my first new Ferrari buy and had high hopes... I am hoping it will be much better in the flesh or as you say I may have to make do with just 740bhp in an F12....

The 812 is not a limited edition Ferrari - you can go to any dealer and ask to be put on the list - they will gladly take your money. It does look way better in the flesh and in natural sunlight - just stunning......

Go for it, Gus. You surely won't regret it.

Yes, it does look absolutely gorgeous, but I shall be following that last piece of advice (except in my case it is a mere 485 bhp, but in even more elegant bodywork).

Dear all,
Please give me some advice.
I have put my deposit in for 812.
How can I get, what would be the limited version of 812 ?
I have never owned a Ferrari , shall I start buying V12s now, an FF and then F12 before I get 812 and then the limited 812 model or it's not possible , am I too late in this game !!
My dealer says it's impossible.

It depends a little on where you are but only new cars will really get you near the list for an LE model and just one 812 will not get you near the top - buying a new Lusso & California might get you some kudos with the dealer

The LE version of the Superfast is likely to be an ultra limited edition Aperta, similar IMO to the 599 SA.

Your only options are:

1. You go buy at least five Ferrari models, including a 288 GTO, F50 or Enzo.

2. Make sure you've bought them through a large official Ferrari dealer. Make sure you service all your cars through the same dealer.

3. Or, become an overnight global sensation (for positive reasons) with 1.5 million followers on IG.

Failing the above, don't bother worrying about an LE and enjoy your new 812.

I just can't get to like the rear.. I much preferred the 2 round lights solution rather than the new 4 look that seems to be the way forward... all rest I love. I hope it will make F12 super cheap so that I can get one after the Speciale smile

I think there are other options

4.Become Ferrari F1 Driver or alternatively a celebrity chef or famous actor (hope Gordon and Hugh enjoy their Tdfs I'm sure they are both real enthusiasts so no offence intended)

5.More realistically start buying Ferrari race cars and drive in one of the official Ferrari race series.

It's actually looking backwards (no pun intended). The rear view reminds me of the 288 GTO, and all the finer for it smile

Just ordered. Being Told 2020! Hopefully there will be some fuel left to drive it by then...

Three years? Is that normal for a non limited production model v12. I didn't think demand was anyway near like the lower priced V8?

That sounds a bit harsh.

Yes, I had the same response from my dealer. Essentially, a minimum 2-year wait from the date of placing a deposit, but reading between the lines I got the impression that it might take longer, so 2020 sounds about right.
