I had a quick look at what Strad prices are doing in Europe and I was quite surprised. There are 4 cars between EUR 265k to EUR 357k !
I think LHD owners wanting to sell, try to sell to Europe vs UK

Or export it to the USA, pricing going mental there.

I looked into this. Don't forget the 20%+ VAT going into EU from Brexit Britain.I think LHD owners wanting to sell, try to sell to Europe vs UK

Its not vat, its an import tax, against a value given by the local customs, which sometimes is quite ludicrous, not normally 20% high though, you have to factor in local registration fees on top of this but thats normal for any car, france is crazy high for this part but classics like the cs do pretty well as it’d be over 10 years old.

EUR 265,000 and upwards is pretty punchy for a LHD Challenge Stradale with 50,000 plus kilometres. They're not selling for anything close to this in the UK. What am I missing? Are these cars being sold at these prices?
Plenty on sale here from EUR 235k to 400k

Yes, but what I don't understand is the delta in price between UK and EU. https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/search.html?dam...

What I really dont get is that there is a bunch of high mileage 360s after the CS;s that have EUR150k asking prices and they are not even manual
Huge disconnect in pricing
It would be very interesting to check if the re-import rule still exists for the EU. Historically, when a car was manufactured in the EU, had VAT paid in the EU and then exported without reclaiming the taxes, on re-entry there was no VAT to pay, just the import duty.

I recently had new brakes and a service from Aldous at AV engineering I kept my old carbon brake discs thinking I may get them re-surfaced to have a second pair. I wonder if anyone on this forum has done this and if so where. I know of only one place, REBRAKE that seems to quote EUR890+VAT so call it £1000 per corner vs £2500+ a corner for OEM. Just wondering if I should do it or just bin them...
Separately, I was tying to take the stereo out to put a bluetooth transponder like Sam at STG did. I bought the special keys to take the stereo out guessing they would be the same as the 360 but they seem to be too thick. I bought from ebay and amazon as the first ones did not fit and i thought they may be badly manufactured but the second set did not fit either:

Anyone know where to get CS specific radio tools to pull the radio out?

Properly chuffed for him, it’s obvious he has a love for the car.
I was the same as him back then, I even bought a challenge stradale brochure to keep me focused but they’ve always just appreciated out of my budget.
Sometimes the stars align and the car couldn’t have gone to a better owner I reckon.
