A few more wrinkles and carrying a bit more timber IMHO but beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Dodgy car.
Italian originally and black from the factory.
Repainted grey.
Only one service.
Ferrari pulled warranty cover....

I would not touch with a bargepole.

I went and saw that very car, been in his showroom for over 4 years with good reason. Never had a owner as it's never been registered, doesn't have its original books, was black then repainted silver, the red interior is ridiculous and feels like your in a butcher shop. Guy doesn't even seem to care that there has obviously been rodents in the car as there were rat droppings all over the engine which is a slight concern.

Just leave that one well alone or your in for a big headache.

I'm of a different opinion having come from a 2009 F430 F1 spider and to me the LP570 - 4 Performante is a better car although I agree it doesn't dance like a CS or Scuderia when on the limit on a track.

Early Gallardo's are not a patch on the LP's and the Superlegerra and Performante are even better again than the standard LP being lighter.

The E -gear in sport or corsa mode feels better than the F1 as are the Lambo ceramic brakes compared to the F430. Chris Harris even said that the E-Gear didn't feel ancient having come from a 458.
The engine has 80 bhp and 60 lb/ft torque more and seems more urgent to me but then again I don't pretend to be Seb Vettel and drive on the limits on public roads and I'm not really interested in track days.

Horses for courses but there doesn't seem to be the same mutual respect from Ferrari owners towards Lamborghini as the other way round ? Maybe its an inferiority complex ?? or maybe its cus I'm in both camps

I like to think I'm unbiased as I am a Ferrari owner ( F355 GTS manual Keeper ) and enthusiast who also happens to own the pinnacle of Lamborghini Gallardo's, all IMHO of course. 458 and McLaren might be slightly better technology but they don't give the same supercar wow experience of a convertible V10 Gallardo which visually and aurally is like NOTHING else and unbeatable.

Are we going to start seeing threads saying Gallardo's are going up in price lol

Loads of respect for Lamborghinis from me, one of must must have cars one day is an LP670SV. Not sure if you have driven a CS, but its night and day from a 430. I brought my missus a 430 this week, and whilst its very nice to drive, dynamically its light years behind the CS.

If it makes you feel any better I would have your G-PET over a 458 and 12C biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I drove a CS and absolutely loved it to bits to drive, less so to look at but I just couldn't get my head round the prices and at the time I could of bought one for £100k. Maybe being young, naaive and new to supercars the stripped out pay more for less didn't make sense to me back then and given I didn't like its looks compared to the F355GTS manual I own and couldn't bare to part with meant I skipped it to buy the F430 F1 Spider a year later when I could afford to have both.

As such it was a case of having a CS or the F355 and F430 and I chose the latter

If the Ferrari ownership trend continues I will probably buy the next F car after the 458 but having learnt from the CS and Scuderia I will probably go for the limited lightweight SPIDER edition of the time.

In the meantime I intend to enjoy the Lambo experience and roll on the summer down on the English Riviera so I can get the roof down and get the full open air supercar experience. They are certainly a lot rarer down here than Ferraris and the general public reaction has been fantastic. It seems like everyone likes a Lambo maybe because its bad arse

TBH I don't think the colour seems to matter a whole heap. Blue and black look good for a change but I still think a Ferrari should be red and probably more so with the special editions

That must make a red low mileage one worth £200k of someones money but sadly not mine

Both Hazy and i started with 355s, they are lovely cars, nice that you still have yours. Sounds like you are building a small collection?

My Lambo ownership experience wasnt great, that said neither was my Aston one.

Touring is great fun, the wife and i took our Bentley GTC to the New Forest this summer and then our 430 Spider to Scotland later on.

Done plenty of high speed hoons round France etc in Challenge Stradales ... 1000 miles in one day was memorable. The Stradale is a suprisingly great tourer. In fact its the best all round car ive ever owned.

I don't know about a collection but I will never sell the F355 and I need another toy to use a bit more alongside it. 3 toys will be the max unless we build a bigger house with more garages. I don't mind the daily drives left out on the driveway but I'm not going to leave anything expensive out overnight

I need to get into the touring bit to make the most from the cars. We went on holiday to Lake Garda in August but sadly I didn't take the Ferrari and I now realise what I am missing. The Ferrai or now Lambo would be fantastic in all those tunnels, mountain hills and passes.
There isn't a lot that comes anywhere close to it over here
Its just getting the confidence to go that far a field, driving on the other side of the road and not constantly worrying about where the car is parked etc....I have looked into some of the organised trips abroad but obviously you pay a fair premium for that when in reality you could do it yourself.
Would also like to take in North Wales and Scotland so may start with those first to ease my way into it.

One step at a time as I rarely get out of Devon at the moment but I did do 700 miles in 1 day when I went to buy a 911 Turbo back in 2008 and I was knackered for 3 days after.

Looking at your current and previous cars that's high praise for the CS. You are very lucky to have had the privilege of 2 CS's so I'm surprised you let the 2nd one go which seems a shame

I guess the chances of a 3rd is limited/unlikely now ?

Driving abroad becomes contagious, clear roads and mountain passes are specialsmile tunnels great fun too.

Best going as a group if you can, you are right about cost justification on 'organised' trips. Theres often threads on here for meets/hoons.. Tag along, it makes your ownership experience all the more pleasurable.

Second strad went following divorce, fortunately things are comng back together... But a third strad is unlikely. I want cars that i can drive and stick miles on wihout knocking values.

I think with prices going up you could stick miles on a cs and not lose a penny. Organised trips are great fun when you get a good mix of people, but your right they are getting very costly. You could buy a decent daily for the price of some rallies.

That all depends on how much you pay for it in the first place ) Buying at current prices is for the collectors

That's the problem. The true car enthusiast is being priced out of it. CS's are virtually only for the rich and famous now lol
