It's the nature of the market now on the higher end/rarer cars - I've been handling a 288 GTO where it's been repainted from the original Red, & although it's documented & done by Ferrari approved in Italy, it is still deemed to be worth hundreds of thousands less as it's not the original colour.
Point in case. A car without racing history or patina should be valued on its condition. For me, a paintjob in the absence of any untoward reason or damage can only be a good thing.
I drive my CS and at some point, I'll need to repaint the sills and front dam to deal with the stonechips. Won't put me off in the least.
The UK Ferrari market is badly broken I think. Some people would rather buy a shed with all its stamps that a wonderful car that has been serviced/painted etc as required.
Having said, there are still plenty of CS's available right now on the market, both RHD & LHD for people to buy a good one...& that's not even accounting for what's available off market.
To my knowledge, the CS has to to be the fastest, sharpest appreciating Ferrari in history? More than doubled in price in 18 months for RHD and well on 80% for LHD?
Daytonas, GTOs, Californias, etc all took the best part of 20 years to do this kind of appreciating. The CS has done it in ten and who knows how much further it has to go.
There's a crash looming somewhere I feel, maybe not for the CS, but in general.

will the prices collapse? i'm not sure they will, i can understand them staying where they are for a time before they rise again but realistically if you just bought a cs for £200k you are not going to to sell it for £100k. if you have over £200k in cash to buy a car like this then you are most certainly not in any real need of fast cash to sell up and be out of it. so why would you sell for less?
I purchased my CS to drive and enjoy and have no intention of selling in the next few years (whether the market goes up, down or sideways). Having said that, I have a keen interest in the market, as being able to report rising prices and/or a stable outlook to my CFO wife leads to a more harmonious life!

Hi Tony, How are you? long time, I would have thought you would have got a 458s by now .
I have seen that on Fchat, but I don't record the registry, I just record CS cars for sale.
