Anyone ever managed to get a nice model of a Stradale?

Nowadays any clown who buys a Speciale, Aventador SV etc (and these are hardly limited cars!) gets a really nicely made model from the manufacturer.

Would love a good one of a CS but can't find much out there. And certainly not RHD!

Ideas?

Me too! For my 2.5yrs old, he loves it...just had to superglue the steering so it actually goes straight rather than in zigzag

Quite a few can be found on eBay, got mine for a little less than £45 last week

There are a couple of good options if you're looking to go a little better than the Hotwheels quality.

Kyosho 1:64: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KYOSHO-1-64-Scale-Ferrar... or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6J004-Kyosho-1-64-Ferrar...

BBR 1:43 (these are very good, but expensive) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BBR-FERRARI-360-CHALLENG...

I have both these models in black and would recommend.

RM Auctions had a black LHD Stradale up for auction. It blew through it's estimate of EUR 145,000 - 165,000 and achieved EUR 244,000. RM tends to get its estimates wrong a fair amount, but this particular auction was "no reserve".

Anyone know the other details about this car? Not much available on the site: http://www.rmsothebys.com/tv16/duemila-ruote/lots/...

A huge amount of cars were estimated at ludicrous prices to get punters in. Got to say it's not practice that fills me with confidence about them... Have had a couple of dealing with them and went away less than impressed.

I thought about going as the estimates were indeed ridiculously low and this CS looked very tempting - from memory all lots were owned by one owner and everything was seized by the state for non payment of taxes or some such thing

Remind me why the Lexan windows are incredibly rare AND desirable?

Rare I get. But surely because the electric glass ones work so well they allow you to hear the exhaust better and allow cool air into the cabin.

Less took the option, that makes it rare and hard to find. Sure not as practical but makes the car look more purposeful on a track which adds to the mystique of the cs. As to noise I notice no difference between with or without lexans to be honest it sounds great in both cases. Because it's rarer it adds value and even if you don't like it and think it has less use, they still have a premium look at f40 with lexan.

Its the same old thing about rarity i guess.
I think that only with the lexan windows and no other options could you reach the advertised weight differential with the 360.
When it first came out and I was younger, I would have specced the car like that. Now however I prefer to have more of the options EXCEPT the lexan as it is quite inconvenient most of the time.
Actually Dick Lovett has one specced exactly like that for 264k.

Great spec that DL one. No stereo and lexans must be as close to how factory intended as you get.
Shame about black calipers though.

Lexan windows like the above is one of the few things that I decided I will not get once I start putting together a lightweight 355. Being able to open the window just too important to me. They do look good though.

That's hilarious. Why on earth would they need to make a commercial like that?

TDF still looks so good, but the stripe makes it look even better. Saw a TDF at one of PH's first sunday services several years ago at Merc world, with the plate CS53 FER and i wish i could have bought it off the guy, it looked stunning. No Lexan windows though wink
