Speedster knows as he owns that car now smile

But yes it was about 480 bhp that car, the engine was built by a motorsport company (name escapes me now) who raced Rossa's in the Ferrari Challenge Cup. Had straight cut gears and 360 brakes too.
Immense fun to drive, completely different than a standard Rossa. The sound is out of this world!
The engine was rebuilt by Zest Performance, its pretty much had everything done right through from camshafts to the gearbox, diff and brakes. The file of paperwork on the car is that big it took me nearly a full day to go through it all, the end result is 497BHP and invoices totaling between 35k and 40k. The car drives fabulous, its sharp crisp and massively responsive and because of the noise it creates its hard not to feel as though youshould be on a race track each and every time your in it. Its pure driving gold, no electronic aids just you and 497bhp.

I remember Amari did a video of your car and posted it on YouTube. They had a Tubi 360 and yours both revving, yours made the 360 sound like a go kart in comparison! Darth Vader on four wheels, sooooo fu#king mean, you must be made up. Especially with those receipts, they are so much sweeter when you end up with all the goodies and someone else foots the bill. I have an insurance valuation for mine from 1991, all agreed and documented........ £175,000! Lets hope they get back to something like that in the not too distant future.
Is this your first Ferrari, how long have you had it and will we see/hear it at any shows this year?

Just watched it again, might have to take back the comment about the 360 and the go kart though!

Well the Internet shamelessly stole it from me so I suppose that's fair! Taken at Oulton Park on 15 September 2007.

I changed my 360 with amari for the testarossa, I liked the 360 but old school excites me more, been able to drive and control 500bhp with no electronics interfering is awesome, no paddles or digital read outs just a straight cut box and a twin plate race clutch. It looks much better now with the 512tr wheels and anything in the engine bay that is stainless or aluminum has been polished to a mirror shine. It sits in full showroom condition now, only what it deserves, l have never really taken any of my cars to events before but would like to do a few this year, I just never know which ones are worth the effort. Any advice?

Yep! Wilton House for a start and your car would be ideal for the sound off. Then you have the Autoitalia events at Brooklands, plus if you contact the editor, Phil Ward, you can sign up for the track action around the Mercedes Benz track. I do it every year, around April or May. It would be great to have another Rossa on the track and in the paddock, just hope you can tame that 500 bhp cos I am pretty quick round there with a puny 390 bhp ha ha!
Silverstone this year, they are doing another record attempt, 1000 Ferrari's on the circuit at one time, the actual attempt is ok but the day is better with racing from cup cars and various stands etc. I drove back from that event with another Rossa, we guuuunnnnnneddd it, one in either lane, I would have loved to have seen that from another motorists point of view.
Eitherway, if I see the car at a show will defo come and have a chat.

See below, not quite another record attempt but still going to be quite an event!

Dear Mr Herbert

Ferrari is delighted to announce that its prestigious Ferrari Racing Days event will return to the Silverstone F1 Circuit on the 13th-14th September 2014.

Ferrari Racing Days 2014 will be another fantastic weekend to remember, with all the exciting racing and Ferrari displays of the 2012 event, plus much, much more. We would like to invite you to join us and your fellow Ferrari enthusiasts as we celebrate the magnificent achievement of 2012 when Ferrari North Europe and the Ferrari Owners Club GB set a new Guinness World Record for the “Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars”, a record that still stands at an amazing 964 cars.

We will celebrate this on Saturday 13th September 2014 by once again gathering together all those who participated so that we can create another spectacular sight of more than 1000 Ferrari cars on display. A few lucky owners will be selected to participate in an exclusive parade paying tribute to the history of Ferrari.

Once again you will be encouraged to apply for a special ticket package for every Ferrari that you own.

Please save the date and we will contact you in early 2014 once ticket registration is open. In the meantime why not re-live Ferrari Racings Days 2012 with our film of the event.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Season’s Greetings,

The Ferrari Team.

Foskers have stated they believe the value of Testarossa's to hit £100,000 in the next 2 years

Wilton House 2014 is on 10th August.
£100k Rossa's ? Well the 512 TR's have been making £100-110k for a while for the sub 10k milers. A low mile 1990 Rossa was on at £95k last year, think it was 650 miles from new.
This next comment may start a debate, but I believe they will go well beyond £100k. They are being snapped up by foreign buyers and RHD cars will become quite rare. Indeed I do quite a few shows every year and sometimes I have the only one in attendance. The true test of when they start to rise will be the early first generation cars, they tend to represent the slightly lower end of the market but....... People always want the first version and when they start to rise then they will find their place in the market. That said, when they do make really good money, will I be able to let it go?

Well if you want some more Rossa's to accompany you to some shows a friend of mine owns the red one at Amari's so I could get him to join us too

A shot from Wolf on Wall Street, going to see this film at the weekend, three reasons, it's about the 80's, it's got Rossa's and the blonde who plays the lead is bang tidy!!

Saw the film last Sunday, absolutely brilliant and hilarious at the same time! If you love/remember the 80s then it's well worth watching. Not that much testarossa but plenty of Margot Robbie, which is most definitely a very, very good thing!
