I really want to buy myself a Testarossa - had a few Ferraris before ( 355 - 360 Modena - 360 Spider ) but mainly been into Porsches.

Does anyone have a nice one they're looking to sell ? Also does anyone know this car & dealer ?

Any opinions would be welcome

Thanks very much
Not a well known Ferrari Indy so an inspection and the original front would be worth looking at.

ADZ, any chance of seeing the resto on that Rossa you have over at Amari, looks like someone on here may well benefit from further details wink

Eitherway would be great to see the work done so far.

At 40k that seems a great rolling restoration. C Cat back in the 90s. Should we worry about that?
well...on the basis that it still maintained the majority of its large purchase price at the time it was written off and that Cat C indicates damage worse than that for Cat D, I'd say it had a heavy hit. So yes,I'd be worried. As indeed would any subsequent purchaser, assuming you can find someone to buy the car.

Stuck in storage for six years, you know it's going to be more than a major service to get it back on the road safe and sound.
Sure, but once you've had that done at a cost of max £5k, you have a decent car; assuming miles and history check out and it isn't on the register. I wasn't there. Had I been, I think I might have had a tilt at that car.

silent1 Have you got any photos of it, see if someone on here recognises the car. Over on the countach forum they ID cars really quickly just from a few shots. If no photos, what was the colour, interior etc?

The standard Red exterior, cream interior, radio with a remote, cream leather seats, sold to him by graypaul, it had also been sold by a car sales company with the name of an ex f1 driver, Nigel mansell rings a bell, I'll try and find any photos I've got, I was only about 10/12 when he had it!

Here you go. H969NEL supplied new by Nigel Mansell Sportscars to Lord Portman, here in 1997 for sale at HROwen in London. Reappeared in the last couple of year at the Ferrari Owners Club as H10FTR, still with only c.25,000m on it and has been entered in concourses by several of its owners:

Top man, I've just found the photos of all the cars so I'm going through them now but that car looks like it!
My dad owned it did about 3000 miles in it and then it was sold after he crashed 2 of my mothers Porsches in 18 months, it went in for its cambelt service whilst he was away with work and it never came back hehe

My advice would be to buy a 512tr. I had a desire to buy a black 512tr but out of frustration bought a red testa on a whim. Within a month i knew i had bought the wrong car. The difference between the two cars is like chalk and cheese. The 512tr addressed all the shortcomings the testa had. If you intend using the car a lot then i would also advise against the crema interior. The quality of the interior was not that good and is not very durable and will quickly show signs of wear.
