It's a PH thing, can't remember how to fix. Try to reset the photo before adding.

Looking forward to seeing the ramps - interesting use of space there.

With the exception of the Countach it looks like I'm the one copying! Even down to the same lift make and colour .. what next!

However I don't think FF had the delivery I had yesterday .....

It must have seemed a long time coming, they say patience is a virtue but well worth the wait by the looks of it.

As much as i love the Italian fair for style and mechanical finesse you can't beat a dose of simple

brute force and anti social raw thunder to clear the cobwebs out on a early morning run.

Makes you feel alive again, just you and the machine with not much to help you out if things go pear shape.

Bloody fantastic.thumbup

Blimey that’s tight!

I used to get my Countach in a garage in town that had <1cm spare beyond the wing mirrors.
Eventually you get good at it.

Then moved her into a stable in the country - much easier!

It must be said JonnyTVR has impeccable taste!

The Cobra is fantastic. Is it all finished now?

It was indeed quite carefully measured, but seems ok. I have to fold the Countach mirrors in which doesn't help if you are watching the rear, but so far so good. The Testarossa goes in perfectly easily, the mirrors are the same width as the rear of the car so they kind of act as an early warning system.

It is finished but needs paint and some small finishing touches which I will sort in the winter. I'm waiting very patiently for the DVLA to road register it .. its been 2 weeks now since the forms were sent to them .. hurry up!

That is always the worst part of waiting, when you're nearly there, but not quite! Hopefully not long now.

Spotted this beautiful Testarossa at White Cross Bay, Windermere on Bank holiday Monday, wondered if it was anyone on here?.

... My prediction, based on the 5-10 year example of the 365 boxer et al.....within 10 years a RHD sub 30k mile, good condition testarossa £130k absolute minimum. Low mile single mirror early RHDcars £200k….

Reviving this prediction from 2014, it was quite a good one. Not too sure about the mono mirrored models, they don’t seem to be as desirable as dealers would have you believe. Bearing in mind when ro55a said that it was relatively easy to find a decent one for under £100k.

What will the prediction be for 5-10 years I wonder… why wonder? Because it’s been a dream car of mine since mid-teens. And I’m at an age where I could have some spare cash to ‘invest’ in the next few years and I’m debt-free.

Now, the situation is that currently I’m nowhere close to being able to raise the funds right now, but well placed for finance and pay it off in a few years time.

Sounds a stupid idea maybe but I’ve seen plenty of other cars disappear away from being on my radar due to the prices getting silly but the Testarossa in particular for me is the daddy. If in 5 years I had say £150k to invest (there’s that word again, practicing it for the wife conversation) but a ‘rossa is then £400k+ then I’m going to be rather fed up.

It’s impossible to tell of course, will non-EV car prices be impacted when it’s £5 a litre. Will adding 3,000 miles a year kill the value. Will painting it lime green make it worthless, joking of course, it’d have to be purple. All impossible to tell…

Do you have a way to accommodate the car, which will ensure it’s condition, and value?
If you’re concerned about losing money, in addition to any maintenance, it could make it a bad purchase.

I have a very good one but they still require money spent on them each year in addition to servicing of you want to keep them in top condition and use them. As with most cars of this type they definitely need to be used.

I agree you need to use it to keep it working properly, and you need somewhere to put it. But they are mechanically robust save perhaps the diff although probably most of the weak diffs are now fixed.
Who knows where the prices will go, and if they go down or up perhaps so will everything else. Even if you can’t drive them in decades to come (and I think you will) it will make a splendid house ornament….
Joking aside they may go up or down but won’t go to zero. They do look spectacular and make a lovely noise!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... it would never be a zero value asset, and although I mentioned "investment" it wouldn't really be viewed as that to me - if I ever managed to get one then it wouldn't be with a view of selling it but more for my kids or wife to sell when I'm dead. Unless it was completely horrible I'd regard it as a lifer, I've got enough books on it, seen enough of them in the flesh and in videos and built a few models of them to be fairly convinced I wouldn't find it horrible. I've always preferred it to the Countach for instance, love the Lambo but luuuurve the Testarossa.

It would definitely get used, and definitely stored indoors. Not massive mileage, but I'd be aiming for 2-3k fun miles a year, an annual maintenance fund of £1.5-2k ideally and a separate slush fund of £20-25k to cover emergencies.

To make it clear, this is all "pie in the sky" thinking at the moment. Just putting some thoughts out there... not flippant thoughts though, thirty years worth of "what if", many thanks for the feedback beer

I’ve always loved the Testarossa since a kid. Kept looking at prices and remember them at around £40-£45k thinking I’ll soon be able to afford one. Then they started going up and now back to a dream unless I win a load of money. If I ever win a load of money I will definitely be getting one.
I’ve never even had the chance to sit in one but just love them. Feel like a kid again looking at and reading this thread on them.
