I used to own a 328 that had at some point been with you Mr Walker. Very nice car too it was.
Is that white Rossa still for sale?

If G780BPE starts taking over, I'll post some photos of its sisters: G777BPE G778BPE G782BPE G784BPE G785BPE G786BPE G787BPE G790BPE and G799BPE - they are all Testarossas: I guess number plates were bought in batches in those days!

777 and 784 were both blue with tan inside ordered new by two brothers. Nice!

Thank you, We've seen a few 328's - lucky its not a 328 thread!!

Yes the white TR is still available, we get calls on it almost everyday, I have sold the car three times on a handshake - but no deposit has arrived - probably the most strange selling experience I've had, cracking car though!

If I didn't have a red one, then I shake one hand and put the cash in your other. Then put my Miami Vice OST in the CD player, love it!

Mr Walker, so in your experience, what's the deal with the diffs on testarossa's? I know the 512tr and M had a improved version. But as someone in the trade, how much experience have you had of this? A very trusted high end Ferrari restorer friend who has worked for years on all Ferrari's has seen very few cases. What's your view?

I think it depends on how you use your car, what sort of life its had and so on, yes there are failures, most failures are from cars that should not have been bought in the first place. I have never had a failure directly but I know several respected service specialists who have. Most people do not give their TR's a hard time ,you just don't need to so the diff in most cases gets a pretty easy life, you can only really ask for full throttle when your already rolling at reasonable speed and the car slides around near the limit so people generally try to avoid the 'on the limit driving experience' Yes you can be unlucky but I do not think the problem is as bad as some make out.

Saying that - the crown wheel and pinion of our 328 race car is slowly eating itself, it will last another season plus but it will not last forever - probably not due to the racing but because of sitting - the top halves of the gears sit out of oil - which over a period of time not moving can cause a problem - I think i will pay for this senario shortly!.

Anyone up for a testarossa, 512TR and M variant thread.
Could somebody please tell me the differences?

I do have other photos of these models from the Auto Italia show if you want to see any of them.
