i enquired about this car several months ago and walked away from it , a world apart from what i deal in
I was going to say it obviously wasn't that good then. I don't understand why people still think there is such a thing as a bargain in the current market. Everyone is wise to values.

i have heard that the owner with the blue 308 advertised at £34k on here now wants £55k for it , perhaps he should now change the advertised price !

Tell the wife nothing. Keep the cars somewhere else. Works for me smile

biggrin

Buy them before you get a wife. That way, they're seen as an appreciating asset to hand down to the children.

There's an 18,000 mile 308 GTS with some HPI issues at Nick Cartwright at the moment. I'd expect with Nick's reputation that it will all be sorted before sale. I'm led to believe that car can be had "as is" for a figure starting with a 5.

Does anyone else think the Ferrari 330GT that sold at Silverstone for £110k was a bit of a bargain too?
I'm tempted to sell my 308 GTBi for a figure starting with a 5. I've been told one has to go. 3.2Mondial has 4 seats so ok for family trips, so its between the F355 and the 308.

I'd actually been thinking of getting rid of F355, 308 and Mondial and getting a 612 Scaglietti! Heard too many horror stories about 456's. The 612 comes with an Enzo engine!!

I'm not sure that's right, I'm certain the 599 had the Enzo type engine with chain drive cams and the 612 was the last of the older type engine with belt drive cams?

That's without the fees - With the buyer's fee at 12%, the full sale price is £156,800.00.

And add ~20K or more to get it fully roadworthy. And if you add a few hundred miles to get everything back on song and tested, you've lost your pointless ultra low miles badge.

A car that's been sitting decades with so few miles is only good for a museum.

That's not really true is it? To recommission a 328 costs around £5k - Depending upon whether the shocks are seized or not (but they normally do free off). After that, the car can be driven as normal.

A car sat in a heated garage for 25 years is very different to one that's just been abandoned - this car was the former so is 'as new'.

The RM car was fully recomissioned by QV so there are no additional costs. Added to that, this is unlikely to be a car that is driven and will most likely sit in someone's collection as a pure investment.

Massive coin. Surely has to be a record for a 328...

no additional costs? rofl "Sitting in someone's collection", I'd agree with. This car isn't going anywhere.
