308 3.5 litre conversion

I'm considering a rebuild of my 308 gts to 3.5 litre like Nick Forza
Is the US , has anyone in the uk done it or completed a rebuild like it? If so who did you use and any idea of the cost?

I dont think there is anyone in the UK who has done thi, as yet, but think someone is building one in for a Mitchelotti rep. USA quite a few with the 348 or 360 crank. this is something on my dream list, but youll be looking at around £10-15k for this, the crank is rare to find 2nd hand and ther will be some engineering work needed, which is quite exact to perform as little knowledge of actual specs here in uk. best bet would be to ask on Ferrarichat.

These works are reasonably straight forward, Kevin at Migliore cars is currently building several highbrid 308 / 328 engines, essentially the 308 engine is the same in the 328, 348 and 360 with a lot of interchangable parts, we have a 348 crank (longer stroke to 3.4L which pops into the 308 block)and have machined a flywheel to fit the correct bolt arrangement ready to accept the 308 clutch assembly. you would need new rods which we can sort for you. He has just finished an awesome 328 with 360 crank and liners. Budget is the only limit. T.

You have jogged my memory, heard that they had done some 308/328 conversions, but not with any on the 348/360 cranks. Know rods need changing as well. So my dream engine would be 348/360 crank, Carrello rods, omega pistons 82mm. Webcam camshafts 102 grind from memory. High flow heads and suitably jetted carbs and all balanced inc lightened flywheel. Solid 300 hp engine. Cost ????? Thinking at least £15k. But would like to do it of it myself as in the engine industry. Though we are industrial diesel specialist so all high torque low rpm. Our dyno can't go past 3000rpm, can handle 3000hp.
