Just the truth here wink

If you take your owners cap off, you can't deny the the c£125k prices were unrealistic??

I'd love to buy one, but to my mind the price would need to be in between 08 cars and 560's. To me, if would be like paying more for a 420 scud than a 458............

I think we argued over lower prices than that, plus you disagreed with what a dealer would ask for one. I agree they're not £125k now.

I disagree, I expect early 560s to sink beneath 08 SLs - and I'm sure many on here would agree. As for your comparison, don't forget the 360CS vs a biggo F430...look at those prices (a whole different ball game/argument though).

I suggest you drive one - the CF, rawness and noise may well give you an appreciation of why many of us won't part with these things for newer/more expensive machinery and why, biased as we may be (as are buyers like you), we won't lay in bed worrying about short or medium terms values. Long term values might be interesting but by then my knees won't work and it'll probably only be an expensive coffee table anyway.

Ah that's better, any discussion about a 08 SL just isn't complete without you bemoaning prices. One day you'll buy one! biggrin
Why, they're just another tarted up R8! smile
says the man with a tarted-up 308 turbo, a tarted-up 430 and a tarted-up stripey 599 biggrin
And not a chavtastic rear wing in sight! No wonder you dont like them!

not so sure andrew.... when that was advertised, that was with 5k on the clock.....

this car has 2k on the clock, and ad says original bumper available... plates are also different.... and the modified front bumpers are different.....

also, granted only 2k miles, but only 2 services in 5 years.... why spend money on a facelift but not servicing!!

bodykitted car is verified as the knockhill car over on p***** by both a dealer it was offered to and the owner's mate

the same dealer as offered the bodykitted car now offers this car. same price. same year. same colour. modifications to the same areas : new front, new rear and new lower side sills

dealer lists half the gallardos sold in the uk as sold by them. but doesn't list the bodykitted car as sold

thats what andrew is insinuating, though i am not so sure...... though the chances of two orange cars makes you wander..... if (note IF) they are the same, then a haircut has been had as i am sure the knockhill car was stated at 5k miles.... wasn't the knockhill car first listed privately?? can't remember now..... maybe dealer bought it..... read the negative reactions on the web, esp here on PH, then changed it back as much as he could.....

The Previous ad was for a 3k mileage. However the dealer stated that the mileage was around 2.5k, so may not have had a haircut.

It is the same car, the history of the car is the same. One owner supplied by Synter (Edinburgh) at 52miles. One service car.

They also put up an advert of the bodykitted car with this private plate on it after a few people called them out on the cars history due to the original number plate matching the KH cars (SN08 ENP). They removed that ad quite quickly and now seems they have decided to try and make it look like a straight car as a simple change of plate wasnt fooling anyone.
