Have you considered a McLaren or V12 Vantage ?
I had a Galardo and was not a fan. May be a post 2007 model would have met my expectations better.
Would love a 12c ..... Probably top of my want list but currently a bit out of reach, and secondly As posted before I just can't get my head around the current pricing set up, official cars at less than private sale and no apparent method to price either.
430 I can price, gallardo I am just doing my homework now :-)
mclaren pricing is truly crazy : cap still don't even list them !
Any small volume production is always going to be difficult to price or depend on demand and what customers are willing to pay for. But let's forget the 12c then if it is too high.
What about the V12V ? I went from a Gallardo to a V12V and never looked back.
Noise, handling and enjoyment was much better.
On its own the Gallardo looks the par but when next to the Vantage, it looks edgy and outdated. But I have to admit that it remains one of the very poster Sportscar ever made !

sorry, by "crazy" i meant inconsistent rather than too high

i quite like the v12v, but personally prefer the indulgent silliness that is lambo

calling threesixty...... he thought his v12v was a bit, well, and bought a lambo..... buy what rocks your boat...... vantage is beautiful, it is also a GT, the Gallardo wipes the floor with it handling wise.... power gained by v12 over v8 lost with extra weight.

I do like the vantage, always have done, would have to be the flappy paddle for me as keen to try but think they are still strong money no ?
It's only a toy so loud colour and a bit OTT all the better, I kind of see the Aston as more of a 599 equivalent ?

you need to drive all these cars : eg 2007/8 sl, gallardo, mp12, 430 and late v12v are significantly different
( i've not yet driven a 599 )

Granted. The V12V is more understated than the Gallardo.
Performance wise, i think you'd be surprised by the V12V. And the driver feedback is so much better than the Gallardo.
The Gallardo is a very heavy awd beast.

However, if it is a weekend or occasional car, i think the better car is the Gallardo. Just because it feels much more of a supercar than the more GT Vantage.

I use my cars daily, so I could never cope with the Gallardo. The V12V had all the charm, performance and exclusivity of the Gallardo without the studering f1 paddle gearbox and unpredictable unreliability that my 05 plate had. Again later models might be a lot better.

Even if i did not enjoy my gallardo ownership as much as i thought i would, it remains one of my favorite cars of all time. And getting into it was always an 'event'. In all sense of the word !
