Looking for a set of floor mats to replace my, rather crappy, standard mats!

Any recommendation?

I used Unique Carmats (UK) via eBay. Their 20mm mats are excellent and in grey piped in blue they match my interior perfectly. So much better than the cheapo Lambo offering. They sent me examples of two different carpets, both edged in my preferred blue, together with paper templates to confirm their pattern matched the originals, for free. They were also extremely helpful in sourcing the fixings, sending me about a dozen different ones. We eventually pinned them down as Fiat items, which were used throughout the entire GallArdo run. However, I was able to carefully remove the original studs from the worn mats and fix them to the new ones. They're much better quality than any that I could find online.

Thanks 4321go. I have sent them an email, just waiting to hear from them.

However the attachment studs/top hat fixings are not on my current mats (just holes), and that is one of the reasons I want new mats.

Could you please advise which fittings you found were the closest match? I thought they looked like Audi ones that were on an A4 I once owned so was going to try that trail first?

OK, a couple of snaps for you. Firstly, here is one of the original carpet studs in the floor. Of course, if you're missing these too, then this is all rather academic, as you're then free to install whatever fixings you like.

Next, the underside of the mats, showing the holes that the studs snap into. These are the OEM fixings that I removed from the original mats. The replacement ones that were supplied, like all those that I could find on the web, were black, not grey.

Lastly, the new mats in the car. OK, they need the vax running over them, but it is the tail end of December. It gets a proper spring clean when the summer wheels and tyres go back on.

I kept the replacement fixings that UC(UK) supplied. All the various ones that they supplied, before we found the correct ones, had two-letter idents on the underside. These particular Fiat fixings are identified with the letters "FL".

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the detailed reply, really helpful!

I have the same floor fixings, however my mats have physical holes, and it looks like a "top hat" type fixing would pin them to the floor. Once fitted, mine would have the plastic lids showing, whereas yours look much neater.

Look very closely. Mine have the same "top hat fixing" but the top part of the two-piece snap-together fixing is grey rather than black, so blends in well. I didn't post this pic. as the camera makes it look much grubier than it actually is. Honest!
