Just wondering as looking to buy a new house within next couple of years and whether I should hold off so I can afford a 6-8 bed Surrey mansion as prices will be crashing through the floor?

FWIW I don't think a crash is imminent. Normally (historically) it's a correction after things have been out of control for a while. I don't think that's the case at the moment, or anything like. I predict the next crash will likely be 2019/2020/2021.

I can't see manual Gallardo prices crashing. I was looking for ages for a manual gallardo spyder. There were only one or two of them on the market at any one time. If you look for a manual sypder on autotrader or PH right now there is only one example for sale on each site.
I drove the egear and did not find it engaging. One of the cars I went to see was a real dog. I think decent cars, well kept and reasonable mileage are sought after.

Just got back from holiday. Interesting thread.
I bought my 2004 Manual in 2007 for a shade under £80K, promptly watched it drop by £20K in 2008. I didn't like it but I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it to enjoy it and drive it.
I have enjoyed it for the last 9 years and now see the price back to near enough what I paid for it. BTW it is not for sale before anyone asks (unless you want to offer me over £90K).
As far as a global crash goes - the world as a whole has not recovered from the last one, so the conditions do not exist in the markets making another crash very unlikely for a few years yet. If you hold out for the next crash you won't be able to afford a manual G. Reason - when the markets crash everybody dips out of stocks and goes to safe bets. Classic bikes, cars, art, gold etc. I am not calling the G a classic, but as none of the supercar manufacturers are making manuals, in my opinion it will not only hold its money but would likely rise in value further following a crash, as has been the case in the last two financial crashes - in production cars fall like stones, about six months to a year after the crash, out of production and classics take on a massive premium.
When I was looking for my G, I almost bought a BMW Z8 for £75K. I can find two UK cars currently for sale at £115K and £300K So you can wait it out and hope, and you can wait it out and miss the boat.
My advice, buy it if you can afford it and want to keep it, not as an investment, however, I think manuals will be an investment whichever model, pre LP or LP.

P.s the grey car at Shak's is a dog! My friend bought it about a year ago, numerous issues in the first couple days then turned out its engine was wrecked and it required a new one!!!! Don't walk run from that car!

P.s the grey car at Shak's is a dog! My friend bought it about a year ago, numerous issues in the first couple days then turned out its engine was wrecked and it required a new one!!!! Don't walk run from that car!
