Its as stiff as a deceased Badger, no idea how it works but I've touched it,tried to bend it and tried to break it smash but failed yikes

Hooray for swan neck wings.

Can anyone explain how their new cool looking carbon actually has strength? It looks like it'd be far far worse than woven type composites? Essentially it's a load of "chips" suspended in resin with no real structure. Looks very nice but I just can't understand how it's working.

That's a racecar for the road. Bloody ridiculous thing and it costs about £2M. Hardly a level playing field. There's too much of a grey area involved in what constitutes a road car these days.
Fair point
Don't think it has any relevance for enjoyment of a road car anyway - they are all too fast - therefore I would buy a 812 instead of tthe performante any day to get a high revving Ferrari v12
812 Looks epic, any idea of cost to a decent spec ? I'm still young enough to like Mid Engine cars but the 812 is appealing !!!
I am not sure - from memory the F12 was about 270k euros base - generally think that I would be happy with a car with not much in terms of extra spec (I'd want the racing seats and forged wheels, but do not like visual carbon stuff and do not need most expensive add ons). I would hope that max 20-30k of extras should be enough

Lambo now make the best and fastest driver's cars on the planet. Lambo are the only brand in the world with two roadcars under the iconic 7min Ring mark. The Huracan Performante is not just slightly quicker than rival cars, but it is in a whole different league. For example, the HP is a whopping ~30 seconds ahead of the Ferrari 488 GTB round the Nurb. Lambo now has the best engineering team in the supercar industry.

That message has not yet gotten through to the vast majority of people. Many are resisting or don't believe it. Perceptions take time to change. But change is here and happening driving

Also, my Porsche dealer tells me that the 918 tech will be in the next 911 Turbo, Porsches are about to get STUPIDLY fast!

The (supposed) top 3 cars are 4 wheel drive. Two Lamborghini's and the 918.

I can't see the 2 wheel drive GT2 changing that. Also the aero on 911's is nowhere near what the Performante can muster.

Famous last words perhaps but it's my gut feeling.

don't think Porsche are in the habit of quoting silly times. The gt2rs will not be sub 7 imo but it'll be a time much more in line with what customer cars will be able to achieve..

The current GT2 RS is almost 30secs behind the HP, while the current 911TS is around 40secs behind the HP. The gap is too big for the new Porsche models to close in one generation.

The Germans and British tend to be conservative with their power and performance "claims" whereas the Italians are a rule to themselves.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the HP can actually launch to the moon in a nano second
