He's right though.

He was complimenting your car but was also asking if we can stick to car discussion rather than the ridiculous one upmanship that pervades now.

I think most would agree with him.
The more I look at it the more beautiful it becomes (I don't know why I put "ascetically" in my post, bloody spell checker! But I'm sure you knew what I meant.)

I know you are a Lambo man Purple and I have owned one myself and loved the experience but the only thing that puts me off the Performante is the poor vision. God forbid I should support RamboLambo on anything but it is true that the forward view is very restrictive, and the diving bonnet leaves you without any external visual markers.
Of course I drove one for 2 years without it causing me any problems so perhaps I'm being too precious but after other cars with better vision the Huracan does feel a bit claustrophobic. I see you are looking at an Aventador, I've never driven one but are they better in this respect?

Anyway, all lovely cars and though I'm leaning heavily towards the 720S at the moment that Performante is a work of bloody art. It just screams dark side and rebellion with every swoop and angle! I really have to stop looking at it because it's corrupting me!
You're a younger man than me Purple so it's probably more suited to you, the pig ugly 720S is definitely nearer the cut of my jib!
I've noted a few people commenting on to the visibility out of the Huracan personally I've never thought it was any worse than the 458 or Aventador I've drove previously. The vision through the slatted rear is absolutely fine as well with big wing mirrors to help even more. I think it could be a bit of a bit of a struggle if you were very tall but otherwise it's no problem!

Audi interiors are usually pretty good but I must admit the Huracans does not feel quality and lets it down. Very plastic and dare I say an R8's is better
Talk to Valentino Balboni - the engine, chassis, gear box, suspension - "important". Interior - "not important".

Its not just the modern cars, its the 70's 80's 90's and noughties too. I dare say Balboni, in regards to interiors, had little impact on this part of the cars dynamics.

Which one is Mr Balboni? And does the picture tell me anything about him and his expertise with Lamborghinis?

I have never wanted a Lamborghini quite simply because I really don't like the interiors. They just look naff to me
Was always a concern of mine too, until I turned the key and that v10 exploded into life....

Would you say this if it was a photo of you and say Teddy Mayer?

+1, no issues with either of my gallardos or the huracans i've tested, but then I'm only 5'9

I have never driven, or been driven in one. i daren't try one now either, because it would mess up my current karma around the cars I have and want!

Seriously why not? You have an amazing and eclectic collection of cars, yet have never tried the V10 Lambo. I had the 328GTS with the factory sports exhaust and thought that sounded pretty special but the range on the Lambo is even more impressive, to my ear anyway. You really should at least give it a go as a committed petrol head.
