Maybe its the dirty black colour but apart from a fixed rear wing and different exhausts tips I'm not really getting a fizz in my pants from that photo. Game changing ????

You are missing the point, game changing is the way it will drive, dirty paint and a dull colour won't come in to it tongue out

Has it got a carbon-tub then? Thought that would've been pointed out too if it was missing it... confusedlaugh

We will all see shortly but given the scepticism already shown on this forum to technical items like lightweight C Tubs and active aero I will be interested to see how they have made such alleged major gains.
Lets hope its true and we can all benefit fro the supercar market becoming increasingly competitive.
From the pics we have seen thus far the McLaren 720S appears to have far more active work going on even if it doesn't look as good from the distorted photos

Don't think its the active aero per se...

Look, its got two rear wings, one below and one on top, aided by the curves of the rear lip... maybe even where the exhaust exits (missed the preview as was off skiing).. the engine cover looks amazing imho, very aggressive

Also its the fact the active aero works differently each side of the car at any given moment....

Hope you enjoyed the skiing, just think what you could achieve on the slopes If you could apply ALA to your skis idea

The viewing was very informative but can't say anything, I think there was a lap time board but so much going on that I can't remember the track or times of all the cars confused

Like the aero info thumbup

I remember when Jenson Buttons Brawn had a little trickery going on at the back, If I remember it was a new idea and worked quite well? I think he won the F1 World Championship with it driving

Juno has become the new rambo with 'active aero' replacing the 'carbon tub' i think....at least said carbon tub had a verifiable weight advantage with the Mclaren weighing on average 80-100kg less than a Comparable Ferrari/lambo.

All this guff about active aero (which as i keep on saying relative to the weight of the car probably is nothing at most cornering speeds) is getting funnier and funnier. Comparing it to the 2009 F1 double diffusor...? Brilliant.

Active aero or magic beans, the end-result is the same. It looks like a £250k car with 650bhp has smashed three $1m cars with 900bhp around the Ring. By a huge margin. Lots of Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche models suddenly starting to look very dated.

What do you know about aero or driving cars with aero ?

The point about the 2009 Brawn has been totally missed by you so let's point it out in Simple terms confused

And the point is, Brawn did something totally different to everybody else and gained a massive advantage by taking an alternative route, this was then copied by the others in order to catch up! It has nothing to do with comparing a 2009 F1 car with a Performante, I hope I've made that clear for you confused

However the clever part is Lambo have patented it for what it might be worth in the future?

Also as in my earlier post, you read the information and you can work out it's not all about power to weight, it's about usable power to weight!

If you just want to add st like "O" Juno is the new Rambo then so be it but it adds nothing to the debate about a new technology to make a road car handle better and outperform cars with much higher BHP per Tonne!

Seems some people with little knowledge just like to throw around anectdotal slurs to be nothing more than controversial for the sake of being controversial tongue outoketounge:

"O" one more thing,Please DON'T compare me to Rambo laugh

The sceptics are going to have a field day with this. If the time is correct we know its not down to power and weight and with Lambo making such a big thing about the aero maybe a few cynics will be eating humble pie. I wonder how good it would of been with a full CT ?

It's a Question? (What do you know about aero or driving cars with aero ?) asking for a reply and casts no aspersions on what he may or may not have driven or what he may or may not know, so I don't see how I have jumped from anywhere to anywhere!

Also it is he that said "Juno has become the new rambo with 'active aero'" So I think the poor form lies elsewhere?

Hey Juno, don't worry too much about the Wooshy badge fanboys losing their collective sense of humour. I remember all the claims about the P1, multiple visits to the Nurburgring, Ron Dennis and his 10 second a lap faster than anything else at Dunsford etc. They simply couldn't deliver and Porsche took the crown.

Lambo seem to have done it properly and will present the video evidence on the 23rd to prove it, good for them. It would appear that ALA is a genuine advance forward, plus the changes they have made to the suspension, gearbox, tyres and engine response, like they did to the Superleggera. Personally I am looking forward to seeing it at Geneva and driving around in my bog standard Huracan basking in the reflected glory of the Performante.

I can't begin to imagine how exciting it must be to have one on order. Please keep us updated and the very best of luck with it. Who needs a graphite cage and piped in engine sounds to make life thrilling....
