Hi,

This isn't working for me either. I used to get free "premium ads" because I'd been a member for "X" amount of time but now it doesn't seem to offer me that. Now does it offer the option of a standard ad?

Help would be appreciated

Thanks

Done again. Sorry due to a bug when you change your address details it resets your free ads rights. Release deploying as we speak will fix this issue. Apologies for the issues.

Phil
Hi phil, one more Q, my ad is up now (thanks) but only in the old classifieds section not the new one, does it take time to copy over ?

Thanks again

There is a current issues with the search index not liking ads being added when we are under very heavy load. As a catchall they all get scooped up at 5am. The code fix for this is going out in the next two days.

Sorry for the wait, it will get there over night.

Thanks for that. Ok, the good news is my advert is live, however it now won't let me edit the ad? It just comes up with "This action is not permitted"?

Your "usual details" appear to be your forum account. Did you have an account on the old classifieds?

Ah, no, do I need to register seperately? When I do that, how does it know I'm an existing mamber and eligiable for a free ad?

Right, written an add and its ready to go but it won't let me post it without paying, any ideas?

Cheers.

I cannot seem to post an ad in parts with the standard option either.

I'm not sure if this is intentional or not? I have not been a member since 2008 but it seems strange to only offer the option of paying 10 pounds for an ad for something that may only be worth 60-70 quid when some marques of car worth £000's you can advertise for free? If I was selling a car I'd not hesitate to shell out for a premium ad but it seems a bit overpriced for a few bits knocking about the garage.. just me?

I'd be so grateful if free adverts for parts could be enabled on my account (petegcalvert @ g m a i l.com)

Thanks,

Pete

Parts and plates should be free for everyone.

Can you try again? Go from My Ads, go through the submit process, and don't hit back or anything. No option?

I've just registered a fresh account and it gave me the option for a standard ad.

I'll try again now but last time I did it, I got to that screen as you have posted, and tried to select the free option, on pressing next/submit/gogogadget it came up with a little red box saying that option wasn't available and I have to use the premium one, I'll get a screen dump for you.

(Thanks for the speedy response by the way! - Impressive.)
