In short you do not have a right to know the in's and outs of police investigations in this country, you do not have the right to comment on them or on circumstances under investigation, it's all just gossip and a lot of it dangerous and poisioness, that is not altered by the fact that in their desperation the McCanss decided to court the media in the hope of finding their daughter. Prejudicing a trial or investigation is one of the most dangerous side effects of a free press and our system is set up quite well to be wary of it.

Even if there were strong evidence and someone was ever charged the chance of it going to a fair trial given the irresponsible nature of the press coverage and some peoples mawkish obsessions to cover the internet in conspiracy theory would probably mean justice would not prevail.

If this event had occured in the UK most of the scurrilious nonsense and in depth detail printed in the press would have been rightly and responsibly withheld by the journalistic proffession (sic) which inturn would have not given fuel to the tinfoilery we see in that thread.

A pertinent question might be why was it deemed to be ok for 96 pages and nearly 30 months, but within 70 minutes of you complaining about it, it was shut down.
