I have decided to try and write a monthly post in here, starting in January ...
Is this still under consideration?I just wondered if it had been forgotten about or I'd missed it or something.
Ha, I still have my paper diary.
Always out now and leave a lot to Nathan, lots to share though but I do want to get to the bottom of the annoying ad formats that sneak in without me knowing. That has to be a priority.
Out until Friday PM, will try and get an update out before the weekend.

Lee here, Director at PistonHeads. Going forward I’ll be taking over responsibility for posting the monthly update of the PistonHeads website.
o Classifieds has now hit over 100,000 cars, up from 80,000 last year and the volume of tracked leads to dealers is up 60% per month since the refresh in December. We’ve introduced free ads for PHers across the bikes, parts & plates and big-stuff to make buying and selling even cheaper for PHers in these markets.
Our small talented development team really are working hard and really committed. To support them we are now co-sourcing development with two respected external companies, EPAM and Search Technologies, to fast track improvements and new ideas.
Trust you have found this useful. As always, comments, ideas and direct messages welcome.
Log-In and Registration (end July)
o Uniform log-in project has commenced with the objective that no longer will PHer’s need two log-ins (classifieds and forums) for the website – one of the most common daily requests.FORUM Search (expectation by October)
o We commence this week scoping and prototyping forum search enabling you to find info or ask questions of the amazing posts from PHers that is in the forums. Very aware this is a big topic and much needed. We’ll be posting concepts for you to comment on. We will confirm the launch timetable shortly.MOBILE ‘SMARTPHONE’ EXPERIENCE (over next 90 days)
o Focus on cleaning up the smartphone experience and are working through the experience being uniform with a clear option for those that want to view a desktop view from a smartphone.New home page beta (end of July)
o Objective is to de-clutter, and present in a better way the massive range of content on PH from news, forums and the classifieds. This will be across all devices i.e. desktop, tablet and smartphone.Recent Updates Feedback
o With the new navigation change we are seeing traffic upsides as content is easier to find. For example Members Cars has seen daily additions and edits double and views to this area have trebled. Great to see this great service grow again.o Classifieds has now hit over 100,000 cars, up from 80,000 last year and the volume of tracked leads to dealers is up 60% per month since the refresh in December. Testing and Monitoring
o We are investing in more dedicated skills and resource, both internal and external. With 5 million unique visitors monthly to the website we have obviously had to invest in our infrastructure and processes to ensure the website runs more smoothly and future releases are spot on. We’ve been testing beta visuals to a test group of PHers for feedback and we will be expanding this visibility so we can get wider feedback. I am confident you will see the benefits over the coming weeks. Our small talented development team really are working hard and really committed. Tonight the classifieds are still crashing and kicking me out of the site when opening the page. This really is nothing short of appalling service. Are you offering oeny back to paying advertisers who are not accessing the potential buyers expected.?
