I come here to look at your articles and read the forums, not to have adverts take up half of my screen. I don't mind adverts that are sensibly placed and relevant, but taking up half of the screen? Get rid of them.

It looks like one of those mouse over ads that are supposed to pop out if you hover over it.

Does it go small again if you click the cross on the top right hand side?

For clarification in the forum there should be no automated take/over, expansion or noise ads.
In classifieds and news we are testing drop down at very low frequency with relevancy being the focus.

Yep the add surprised me as well....really really didnt like it....Its fine having it happen when you are only one click on an x away from three naked teens and a tub of goose grease video whistle

But not when you are just checking who's bh slapping who, on the best choice of manifold heat wraps on a car forum

It shrunk (but didnt go totally) when I pressed the X but it's default state was half of the screen...

So when you refresh the page (and keep your mouse pointer away from the ad, it's default state is 'expanded' ?

that's not cricket frown

I don't know about that. I just came to that page from google and the ad was covering half of the screen. It's not hovering either, sits above the header which is odd. I didn't hover over any smaller add to get it to expand.

The OP was on the main Pistonheads site, not the forum.

Good good.

I was on the forum, hence my post with the picture and the subsequent one.

fking Santander advert!
Proper annoying me now.
Doing the exact opposite that its intended to.
Now pissed off with both Santander and PH for forcing this upon me whenever I log in.
Adverts that automatically expand like this and take over the screen can ps off.

P%$$ed me off too. Its bad enough going into the branch and being continually asked if I have a mortgage or want a 123 account (other accounts are available). Now with my morning coffee and SOTW the F££ktards are F%%king at it again. Whats next, my toilet paper with Santander branding. Mr Bridger will not be impressed.

Not yet you don't.

On a serious note, a little unhappy that 3 pages in to a 'website feedback' thread and clearly some unhappy people and no response from the powers that be?
