I completely agree. I'm arguing the case for a review of our site on mobile devices.

As a developer I know how the site works and can hack the URLs around to what I want. As a regular Joe, it must be hopeless.

I must take some of that back. Turns out if you hold a Nexus in portrait mode, you get mobile view. Switch to landscape and the page automatically turns in to the desktop version. It's actually quite handy!

My apologies for any criticism based on my own ignorance...
