Why does this site not work on my phone
Discussion
I'm sure I've had this before but I cannot get into the forums on my phone. All I get is a blank page with a link saying use full website. If I click on that I just end up going round in circles. The only way I can get into the forums at the moment is to google search for a thread name and go in that way.
Once I'm in it works fine. I'm logged in and can post etc. it's been like this for ages and is really putting me off browsing. This is on an iPhone 4s running ios7.1.

When you click forums and get the white page your address bar will read:
mobile. pistonheads.com/gassing/
Delete mobile. so it reads:
pistonheads.com/gassing/
There is a few threads regarding this issue and I believe work is being carried out on the mobile skin. The above will allow you to view the full website skin on your phone/tablet.

The mobile site development has been put on the back burner a bit whilst concentrating on developing the main site as usage for the mobile site is very small.
Which it would be if it does not work right.....What about an 'app', something that every other forum seems to have developed successfully...

Sort it out PH as the comment regarding mobile traffic is stupid.
As the famous words from Field of Dreams "Build it and they will come"
I'm no web designer but wouldn't it be kinda a piece of cake to make the link for forums on the mobile site point to the address you recommend maybe just as a short term fix?
Save us all messing about with deleting stuff on a tiny screen and inevitably getting it wrong 59% of the time?

Strange company tbh, I don't know why they make the site a challenge to use.....Save us all messing about with deleting stuff on a tiny screen and inevitably getting it wrong 59% of the time?
Still appears to be broken. Do you guys actually just not care that it's a pita for us? Also when clicking on any of the features on the homepage I always just get an error message. It's been like that since the dawn of time it would seem.
Are we mobile users of no importance to you? Seems a bit unfair.

We care. More than we get credit for. We've just taken a step back with this one to see all the possible scenarios one might encounter using PistonHeads on a desktop, tablet, and a phone. Here's just a few of the scenarios we're trying to cater for, and that may help explain the wait.
You should see the fruits of our labour soon.

Always the same response from PH. The mobile site has been rubbish for years now. No wonder traffic is low, which is funny because in general browsing the Internet via phone increasing exponentially.
I dint pretend to know the ins and outs of it but PH is definitely behind the curve (i think the curve is out of sight) especially when you consider the size of the site/resources.
