Change page length

Why isn't the "Page length", or number of posts per page, set to 80 as default? I changed it almost immediately as the default number of posts per page was so small.

It's really frustrating trying to browse long threads in those instances that I'm not able to login to the forums. Plus nobody should have to endure that. I'm willing to bet a lot of members have no idea that setting exists!

A mixture of page impressions, performance and we have to choose something to start with... so it was that way from the start and we haven't considered moving it, a fair point but for now it is something we are going to stick with unless we really get a wealth of complaints - personally I have never had an issue.
