Discussion
I have been a member of the Pistonheads forum since the 21st of November 2007.
That's 6 years, 8 months, and 5 days.
I have been a long term contributor of images in the threads, "Random Photos" (from Part 1 - Part 4 if I remember correctly), and "Why are there so few car photographs?".
The past few months have seen me receive multiple emails from the "noreply@pistonheads.com" team with notification of removal for several images I have posted.
Like most photographers, I rarely upload an image without a watermark in order to protect my media. Unfortunately the chosen watermark was classed as inappropriate and I received an email which stated,
"Hi,
Your reply to the topic 'Why are there so few car photographs?' has been removed for the following reason:
Sorry but your posting style is now deemed as advertising and this post has therefore been removed,
Regards,
PistonHeads".
The email was rather vague and addressed "noreply" so I was unable to discuss the issue and therefore I was also unable to prevent a repeat situation.
Thirty three minutes later I received the following email for another post;
"Hi,
Your reply to the topic 'Random Photos : Part 4' has been removed for the following reason:
Your post has been deemed an advert and therefore removed.
Regards,
PistonHeads"
Once again, the email was vague and I was unable to reply to the sender to find out what rules I had broken.
It was only after making a separate thread in the "Photography & Video" sub-forum when I realised the issue was the inclusion of my contact details in my watermark.
Assuming this is the issue, and it had been pointed out to me earlier then I could have rectified the problem.
Now I know I need to edit my watermark, I'd like to be allowed access to the "Random Photos" and the "Why are there so few car photographs?" threads forum.

Rather than posting here, you should probably follow the advice given in the Posting Rules ( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/rules.htm ) and contact Nathan directly.
Murray, I've raised a report regarding this subject (in general) I don't expect too many mods to be about over a sunny weekend, and Nathan is on his hols.
We do see some inconsistencies in policy in some forums and we've asked HM to address these and perhaps come up with a standard set of rules.

I just want to be unbanned for two of my favourite topics We do see some inconsistencies in policy in some forums and we've asked HM to address these and perhaps come up with a standard set of rules.
