I keep getting this occasionally. It seems (to me) that whenever I get above an arbitrary number of "ASPSESSIONID" cookies from PH, it logs me out.

Might point to a problem with the server-side session timeout length, or a session ID being timed out by the server incorrectly?

Surely the expired ASPSESSIONID cookies should be cleared by some mechanism on the client-side anyway? (Javascript?)

I've not had the logout issue but every time I go to log in I hit the reset password button by mistake because it is so close.I'm using an I Pad 3 and I must have fat fingers but a slight redesign would be very much appreciated for the benefit of us touch screeners

Next time this happens - any chance you can PM me the cookies you have for PistonHeads so I can see this?

It's weird because on my system at least, the problem seems to have disappeared for now! Are you lot all using the latest version of Safari (currently 8.0.3)?

I'm getting internal server error when I get into the login loop. I'll log in, go to post and then have to login again after writing a reply. When I hit return: internal error. I am using an old sony ericsson mind.

Not sure this is the right place to post this but here goes.

Haven't been able to log in to mobile site since yesterday. On Android, got the usual "timed out" error message, cleared cookies & cache as usual which normally fixes that glitch for a while, and now I can't log in at all. I know I am using correct username/password, can log in on PC just fine (hence posting now), there's just no way at all I can log in via mobile. It goes through the motions, but I'm still 'logged out' not matter what I do. Have rebooted phone many times to no avail.

Any help?

It's just happened again, the problem though is that Firefox stores its cookies in a sqlite db, and I don't really want to send that over for obvious reasons.

Here's a screenshot of the Firefox cookie management window, give or take about 10 cookies (referrers, memberID, hasVisited etc), they are all ASPSESSIONID cookies, looking at the size of the scrollbar should give an indication of how many session cookies are being stored.

They're expiring at the end of the session (seemingly correctly) but they aren't being removed. Whether this is Firefox, PH or an addon that isn't playing ball - I don't know, but I'm not aware of any addons that specifically preserve cookies on a system - it's generally ones that prohibit their placement to begin with.
