I tried to post on the above referenced thread and got a message telling me I am denied access.

Could somebody kindly explain what I have done to deserve this ban?

Hi, sorry to bump this. Would it be at all possible to have an answer to my question as I am genuinely unaware of any transgression on my part.

Moderator gets the wrong end of the stick and I get banned.

For the record

The thread, which was one of only a few I contribute to got shut down for nothing to do with me.

I then raised a query on website feedback.

The thread was subsequently reopened.

I quoted an 80's sitcom pleased that my appeal had reopened the thread

I get banned.

For that?

Sounds like the sort of moderation you'd expect in china.

That comment could be counted as cringeworthy I know.

The best bit is the half-arsed explanation was deleted prior to my being able to read it. Pathetic really, but annoying as I have never been banned from anything in my life.

Perhaps you would be better off contacting the moderator concerned unless you think open discussion in website feedback would be more "power to the people" wink

In case of any the confusion. The "pathetic really" comment was aimed at myself for caring about being banned from one thread on an online forum.

oh the irony wink

Anyway, all sorted, because, to be quite frank, I can't be arsed. I've got arse to scratch.
