It's becoming more and more of the norm nowadays for some posters to ridicule posts ( and/or the poster), rather than just ignoring or perhaps posting useful advice. And on some posts, folk offering advice have to be aware that some little snot pot will decide to come up with some two line ridicule, rather than offering a reasoned argument against the post they disagree with .Most of us just ignore this, but it can lead to posts which might be of interest/education to car enthusiasts turning into flaming contests and mods locking the post ,instead of a lot of useful information being passed on . Perhaps a stern word with those intent ( either by intent or accident) on aggravating the situation , might persuade the two line troll flamers from continuing.

It all depends on the thread ..... it goes from extremes from totally deleting the thread in full; right through to simply deleting a post. A lot of the time people don't see what's been removed and then wonder/complain (not being aware of the full facts).
But absolute bottom line, it's a self-moderated environment. If you're not happy about something then report it. That way it will be seen by a mod and action may be taken, depending.

Oh, I forgot to take the piss out of your spelling of weird, too.
Thank you for helping to make my point. I'm glad at least one of the spelling & grammar police spotted this deliberate error and saw fit to make a sarcastic comment. Most folk would see past an error and read the content ,but some pedants of English literature have got to nit pick,HENCE MY ORIGINAL POST. I do agree that people who post simply to pick up on grammar or spelling mistakes ought to be struck off. It's ironic that they often make a mistake in their post.
However the ridicule etc posts are often deserved - there is frequent absolute tripe and total story telling on here the like of which I don't see on other forums I visit (apart from the Tripe forum and the Story Telling one).

It's not exactly literature, and your use of spaces before and after commas is inconsistent.

FWIW OP I totally agree with you. It's childish and poor form IMO and very frustrating/annoying.

I posted asking people's opinion on something (maybe not the most profound subject but so what?) and you reply with nonsensical gobbledygook, effectively going "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH" in my face and then you leave the thread with no other comment, like a hound having given a lamp post a perfunctory sniff before pissing on it and moving on to the next one.
Are you some sort of delinquent verbal graffiti artist? Do your 20,000 posts tell fluorescent stories of "I was 'ere" and ""My bluds say the skets round here are nuff deep."?
