it's getting ridiculous. when I go to PH on the laptop I can't see ANY content for effing ads. Please can we get it reshaped. It is exactly the same on my desktop and the same on the classifieds. You end up having to scroll down.

There is both a head banner and the background really there should only be one. Even the survey bar takes up valuable vertical space.!

Point 1) Don't expect any feedback from the guv'nors, despite the name of this forum they don't actually give Website Feedback in here if it is in any way questioning the way the site is run.

Point 2) And they wonder why so many of us run adblockers... If it were more discreet I would happily turn mine off but when it takes up the whole bloody screen it's just plain annoying.

That's unfair, most of the threads in here to have a HM response, look for my username, RacingPete and JD PH

Fish: There was another thread about this, have a look here

Adblocker works wonders, as above, I don't mind ads, but ads that take up the whole screen and you're unable to see no content? Pass & blocked.

I tell you now, most people are LESS likely to click on them, as they are so annoying.

Why can't PH do a small experiment. 1 week in a month, swap to small banner ads, like a reasonable site, and compare numbers. You have plently of ad data for the full ads to compare with. Seems a reasonable enough request.

Never posted in this section before, but I agree that the ads are getting ludicrous.

And to cap it all, nearly every "article" now seems to be a video with an increasing length ad trailer before it - so, Now TV, thanks to the way PH are placing your ads I will never buy any of your bloody products as I'm sick of the sight of your ads. Nor will I bother clicking on any more articles because I can't be arsed sitting and waiting for 30secs.

I find I click them much more often now, however it's usually by mistake while trying to scroll past the fkers. Serves the same purpose though and ultimately assists in the justification of their continued use, I guess.

Similar to the recent feedback in this forum that I read where it was suggested that the metrics have proven everyone wrong with regards the constant slating of the classifieds. Of course the increase in visitors must be due to the full page ads, the chronically outdated interface, the habit of moving the page just before you click, etc etc. If the classifieds are doing so well now, perhaps consider how much more popular they would be if some of the complaints were addressed...

Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate it. The plan is to have 50% less ads and putting controls in on the larger formats in place. We're in talks with our advertisers that currently have large format ads to try and make them more "PH"

I've given up watching the videos now. It's fine to get a 30 second advert when you watch your first video, but for every video I watch is a complete joke. Try taking the YouTube approach.
