2 letter usernames and editing a profile.

I've moaned about this before, but it's highly annoying so I'm bringing it up again.

I've had a 2 letter username since I first joined PH back in the old days. A while ago you updated the site so that now when I try to edit any info in my profile it wont let me save it, as it says "Please enter a valid login name (min 3 characters)."

This is highly annoying as I don't want to change my username, but I haven't been able to edit my profile for years.

How can we get around this issue?

I've had the same problem.

I've not updated my profile for a while because of it.

This restriction has been in place for at least 3 years, so not something new - but it is one we are rolling back out.

We are launching our new single login (so there is not two different ones for classifieds and forums) - and this will allow 2 letter usernames and also to edit the profile separate to usernames.

We are looking at releasing this by end of this month, hopefully sooner.

It is a massive update across our systems, so in final part of testing - late this week or early next.
