Picture re-sizing on new website
Discussion
Guys, something on the new website is making pictures resize weirdly and quality look terrible.
I think it's when you resize the browser window to be slightly narrower than normal, it seems to expand the smaller pictures, but leaves them at low quality.
Looks pony...
p.s. honestly really don't like the new "snazzy" layout anyway... can't we just go back to things being simple to read, rather than everything having to look smoothed and thus harder to actually read!

Might be referring to some of the pictures in the news stories, for example Nova Race Transmissions: PH2
The picture of the workshop is only 240 wide

and is in a CSS class 'picture right FormatImage' - this is fine on the full size screen as it's just a thumbnail in the article flow but as the media hints change it becomes full width.
Perhaps some of the editorial side are using out of date rules/tools and still creating thumbnails for the old fixed width styling.

I reported this in March (and April), it still looks terrible.

Between the ads and borked images the main site is a hopeless mess now and easily the poorest looking site I visit on a regular basis.
