Cheers. Do you mean the Beta2 skin?
Because I was rather hoping that the Beta2 skin when viewed on a desktop would start to look less like a dog's dinner. Is it only the mobile side of things that'll benefit?
At the moment I'm switching skins back to Big Blue depending on which device I'm using.

There are tweaks to the desktop view, but not sure it is enough to change your view on the design on desktop. Because I was rather hoping that the Beta2 skin when viewed on a desktop would start to look less like a dog's dinner. Is it only the mobile side of things that'll benefit?

Though one thing this release will do is migrate all new users to it as the default skin and not allow you to swap off it once chosen.

They are both very similar and for me have two obvious faults that makes my teeth itch, the unequal widths of the title bar, forums bar, options bar and the forums themselves. Everything getting narrower. And the blue line above "author" on the 2nd images, which is slightly wider than the forum listing below.

You are kidding me.Have a look, feedback to us, on this next iteration (by the way we are moving out of Beta and going to GTI - all those on Beta2 will automatically be moved to GTI [well we are just renaming it so it isn't exactly a migration]).
Also, we are going to make it the default skin for non-logged in users, or new users signing up - but those already on skins will be protected.
But we are going to switch off the other skins soon, as supporting the multiple skins mean we cannot advance the forums due to having to maintain multiple code bases. So in the long run it will be better for users as we can add more features to the forums that are long overdue.
