Beta2 - for the love of all that is holy

Can you not sort out the font/column width/formatting for desktop view? It really can't be that hard can it? Edit a line of code here, a small tweak there. Make it look like Big Blue, you know you want to.

At the moment I'm having to switch preferences depending on what device I'm viewing the forum on which is a ballache. By switching off the old mobile site you've forcibly migrated me to beta2 and the new mobile site which, to be fair, I'm getting used to. Albeit it's a different feel from the old one.

Trouble is that beta2 looks like an absolute dogs dinner on a desktop - please fix it

What don't I like? Well, pinch and zoom doesn't work on my tablet for a start, making it look like it was designed for Mr Magoo. I have no idea what else I won't like because that alone was enough to change me back to the classic skin immediately...

I have an iPhone and a Motorola Android phone here and pinch and zoom work fine on both of those. Will try Android tablet tonight but I seem to remember it works OK.

Strange.... I've just tried it again, and switching to Beta2 gives me this on my iPad 2 with iOS 7.1.2:

Yup, I'm a luddite and refuse to upgrade simply because I don't like how much memory the upgrade takes up!
