As per the title really. I have a car to sell, I know it used to be a free PH service, now I'm getting charged.
OR am I falling foul of the "you've changed your email address" bug, in which case, would someone endowed with webby super powers please pour some electrons of advertising empowerment into my account?

AFAIK, it's still the case that anyone who joined PH before 1 July 2008 qualifies for free adverts.
I placed an ad last week and, other than having to login using my email address rather than my username*, it was without fault - and without charge.
