Mute button?

Just as there seems to be no limit to the dregs of society that sign up to this site, I was wondering if you guys had considered adding a mute button so the repeat offenders can just be ignore?

Does this exist and i've missed it?

Ignore feature has been requested numerous times and turned down, IIRC, it cant be made to work if someone quotes the poster you want to ignore.

Given the current state of Ph, I find it best to avoid the populist fora and stick to the specialities.....

The only crime they're committing (over and over) is being remarkably thick, not really report worthy, but I'd rather leaf through a thread and not have to see someone with the IQ of a shoe size posting their views
