As the headline says, there's a video advert that plays quite frequently now that takes control of the page and forces it to show the video.

The video itself plays in the usual location at the side, and you can scroll past it...except that when it's off the screen, it'll force the page to scroll back up until the top of the advert is at the top of the page. If you scroll down again, it force the scroll up.

If you drag the sidebar down...same thing.

It renders the page unreadable until it finishes playing that single specific video advert and moves on to the next video in the sequence, which doesn't have the problem.

It's the 'Discover Boating' advert. It can't be paused, either (although the subsequent adverts can).

I open another topic in a different tab and read that for a couple of minutes (the 'this advert will finish shortly' banner on it is an abject lie too - at least 2 minutes worth of it) until the next advert comes up and can be scrolled past or paused.

Before any says 'use adblock', it's the only advert I've ever seen that could force me to.

Latest version of chrome.
