Forum Issues - Update Released

The biggest pain is not defaulting to last read post when you click on a topic. Also in landscape on a hudl you have approximately 2 lines visible between the browser navigation bar and forum/my stuff etc links and the keyboard. Those links weren't present in beta2 and aren't needed now IMO.

Tried to go to preferences and set it back to how it was but get told I am on "classic" with option for something called GTi.

So, what was I on before and what do I need to be on to make it like it was a few days ago ?

I know they'll say they tested it out on a group of people but it looks wrong to my eyes.
All this is for an iPad with Safari, IOS 8.something
Agree with the comments about losing the link to last read post.
Also we seem to have lost the ability to choose "where" to go having read to the end of the thread.
Previously there was a breadcrumb trail at the bottom of the thread so you could choose the forum, general gassing, whatever - now gone. As far as I can see the only option is to scroll back to the top then click up a level to whatever forum you were in. A big loss of functionality on my view.

Would be great to go back to how simple and easy to use PH was a few years ago. Might even get Speed Matters back too.
As posted on the earlier thread. I was on Mobile Beta or maybe Beta 2, not sure now.
Anyway managed to navigate myself back onto Classic after much trial and error, casting of runes, a rain dance ( sorry about that rainstorm last night) and general jiggers sweary pokery.
Now considering that this is being posted on a Samsung Galaxy III mini, yes I am a tight git, the size of the links etc make it a little wearing. However what's become clear is that I had forgotten just how well and reliably Classic et al worked. Even clicking on the minutest of links gets me to where expected, not the thread two lines down, not the first page, not the site terms and conditions nor the editorial complaints page. It just works.
I have a feeling that they've got themselves into a state that an organisation that I worked for 20 odd years ago achieved. To try and fix some stuff developers had been tatting about in the live system, no proper change control or records kept. One day a change made it all fall over. Just wind it back to last known good point came the command, except they couldn't. Down for a week.

My stuff is still borked (3yo galaxy tablet, default android browser)
If one of the PH techies could post here when they think it is fixed, I will report back.
Also weird issue editing text when posting : it highlights the character following the one you just typed, so you are overtyping rather than inserting.
