Browser Hijacking Video ads

This is the 5th topic on this now, but hopefully with a more dramatic title that will wake up the tech bods and get them to do something about it. It seems to be prevalent with US based users, however all the ads are British, and not for anything US based.

The video ads hijack the browser and auto play whenever you so much as try and scroll. It's not a one time event, but every time you try to scroll a forum page. The forums are currently unusable as a result on mobiles.

The ads seem to be one of three topics:
Celebrity Magic School with Ben Hanlin: Matt Edmondson
Magic Meals with Ben Hanlin: Ollie Locke at Homeslice, Covent Garden,
Food Hacks: The Tasty Tenner

They appear to be coming from www.vmg.host/

Thank you dvs_dave, hopefully someone will take notice! Am soooo pissed off with this now, can't be bothered faffing around turning java on and off every time I switch websites, so just turn the volume down. Then you watch a video, turn up the volume, come back to PH and the fking video kicks in again!

If at least we could press a button to stop them, but as you say, if you pause the video the next time you touch the screen to scroll it fking starts again! Argghhhhhh

Was fine on my phone until I got to USA! Unusable on some threads now!

Oh well, 6 different threads are unreadable now and I can't be arsed to keep reselecting the point where I last visited!

I must admit I'm staggered by the complete radio silence on this issue across numerous feedback threads from PH Towers.

Just irritating on iPads as the video auto plays really loudly. But, on the iPhone it takes over the browser. It seems the powers in PHs tower have become obsessed with the font on the English site and have completely ignored the U.S. Site for 2 weeks.

I'm very sorry no one has got back to anyone on the threads.

I have spoken to the ads team here today.

- the first video shown on this page should have been turned off.
- if anyone else sees any videos, then please post screen shots here so we can get them removed
