Really disappointing - mobile site worked perfectly for me, now I have switched to GTI it's almost usable but the experience on my iPad is really poor especially pinch to zoom.

Probably not a bad thing as I spend too much time on PH - since yesterday I've hardly used it!
I'm going to echo this. If I had a spare few minutes and had my phone on me, i'd be surfing this site.

I didn't use pistonheads on the phone at all yesterday, other to come to this forum to establish that the mobile site had indeed gone. You may find day to day footfall to the site reduce as casual phone browsers like myself just won't bother. I used the mobile site 10-20 times a day. I'd still use the site at my desk at work, but the phone use will probably stop/reduce.

I've just signed in on the phone and tried 10 minutes on the GTI theme, it's not the same. The pinch to zoom is not fun and the site 'seems' slower. (I'm on an iPhone 6).

Also, the GTI theme looks completely different if you are using laptop (Safari on Macbook) so there's no consistency. The GTI theme on the iPhone looks like the updated home pages, but on Mac it looks like a slightly re-jigged and muddled up PH Classic.

Sorry Guys, not a fan

On the iPhone 4, the GTI skin work well.

It's functionally richer - which is a big positive.

The only negatives I've found so far are that I can't view an entire forum eg Pie & Piston and I need to view sub forums eg NP&E. I've also had to reduce the posts per page from 80 to 40 for optimum performance.

I think you should advertise the different skins to users because I had for a solution to the problem.

Looks and feels absolutely unusable on an iPhone 6.

Gti skin feels like a step 10 years backwards.

That's fine, just won't use PH on mobile device anymore.

Used to view maybe 15-20 times a day,
Same comment here from Windows phone user. At least I'll do more work!

And another one. Using Android 4.3 and it's awful now. No worries, I'll find something else to do during the day!

All the people saying its completely unusable, are you definitely using the responsive GTI skin?

As per my post on the first page there are certainly improvements that could be made, but its far from unusable.

Please bring back the mobile version, GTi is not unusable but having to sign to use the GTi skin is a bit of a pain.

As the GTI skin is still in its infancy so there are a still a few 'niggles' that need ironing out so please bare with us, the developers are working to resolve them as they appear.
If you do have any issues though, then please post in this forum and they will get addressed.

^^This. GTi version is unwieldy on Android 4.3.

Not sure if anyone else has raised this, but i use the "what's new" feature which is on the full site, and was on the mobile site, but cannot see it on the GTI theme.

Not really keen on having to navigate each section individually to see new posts.

What's New is on the bottom menu bar - see screenshot earlier in thread.

GTI mode is pap. Stop wasting money on PHTV and spend it on a new mobile site, kill two birds with one stone whistle

What do you think is so bad about it?

Yes, it's very different to the old site but quite a few posters (myself included) prefer it.

Mine doesn't look like the picture above. It looks like normal, only now you you can't zoom in so you have to hold the screen against your eye.

I've tried it on my phone and it's too claustrophobic. Why do we need the menu showing at the bottom at all times? It cuts off a fifth of my viewing space. Why is everything in bold text? Just have the topic titles in bold. I couldn't care less who the last poster in each topic is, I don't need it burned into my eyes.

But look at all the guff in your screenshot, the page is so 'heavy'. There is so little text you are constantly having to scroll. IMHO.

That's exactly what I put in an earlier post.

Thanks. More mobile friendly but is very "busy".. Is there a theme that is similar to big blue?
Just pointing out that whilst it has issues, IMO its not completely unusable as some people are saying.

I don't remember the old mobile site loading ads? Maybe I remembering it wrong.

Also If I change to GTI on the phone when I log back in on my laptop, it's changed to GTI too, which I find has too much blue for my liking, I prefer the PH Classic skin.

Guess I'll have to create a new profile for the mobile site.

Long term, the all the other skins are going - at least that's what PH have said several times in the past. Their plan is for GTI on the desktop to match Big Blue.

If you do create a new profile expect to be banned as it's against the rules to have more than one profile.
