Help! I can't access PH Classifieds on windows mobile
Discussion
I would like to be able to access 'Cars for Sale' on the classifieds section, but I cannot get any further than an inert menu page. Clicking on any of the Make / Model / Price / etc boxes has no effect, no drop down menu appears and the screen keyboard does not pop up.
I am using a Nokia Lumia 635 windows mobile.
Is there any way I could just type in my search criteria to find what I'm looking for? Or is the classifieds section just not compatible with my device?
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Still no response.
I guess that it is not a priority for potential purchasers to be able to access the cars for sale section of the classifieds.
It wouldn't be a good idea to advertise a car on here if people have to scroll through 137922 results with no way to fine tune their search.
Makes the "sell your car" pop ups a bit pointless?
And another thing....... the PH Forum search, which used to be very good, is now absolute rubbish.
If I type "TVR S for sale" into the PH search engine, then refine by date from 01 Nov 2015 to 18 Nov 2015, then "uncheck all", then check "TVR S Series" the so-called "search by relevence" results in completely unrelated topics from "Show us you new Mercedes"( 18 May 2010 ) to "Who has ordered the new Mustang S550?" ( 23 Jan 2015 ).
Nothing within my selected date range and no relevence whatsoever.
Comments please....

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I have discussed this with the developers who will be scheduling time to investigate and resolve this soon. It might not be this week however it is down to be actioned asap
I will go back to them regarding the site search issue as you described.

One of the reasons I don't use WM any more is that nothing ever gets fixed for it.
It's share of the market is just too small to make it worthwhile paying any attention to any issues raised on it.
I'm sure it's logged on some bug tracking system somewhere, but it will be very low priority and stuff that impacts more users will always take precedence. It'll probably get fixed at some point, especially if more people report it and it's easy to reproduce and fix, but I wouldn't hold your breath........

I completely agree, it should work.
Just pointing out that in a world where development time is at a premium fixing issues on platforms which are hardly used is not going to be top of the priority list. WM's market share of mobile web browsing in the UK hovers at just over the 2% mark, which is a shame because I really like it.

Hi glenrobbo,
Thanks for your feedback. I have been able to get my hands on a Nokia Lumia 800 to test this on and on that specific device the page appears to be working fine. Until I can find a Nokia Lumia 635 then I won't be able to replicate this issue.
What device are you using hartge bob?
Is anyone still experiencing this issue on a Windows device other than a Nokia Lumia 635?
Thanks,
Dom

Many thanks hartge bob,
My Lumia 635 is on Windows Phone 7.5 also, so maybe this error is to do with Windows 8. I am also experiencing the slow responsiveness, although for me it is between 2-4 seconds.
If anyone else is using a phone / tablet running Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10 then feedback would be most appreciated.

Just tried 4 WM phones and accessing the classifieds (Used Cars).
950XL and 1020 both running WM10
Using the edge browser - Drop downs appear OK. Appear as popup windows
Using UC Browser - Appear full screen, but still work correctly
635 and 530 both running WM8.1
Using Internet Explorer - Drop downs do not appear.
Using UC Browser - Appear full screen, but still work correctly
One thing I've noticed with UC Browser is that I cannot login on any of the phones.
